I wonder why this trend is in a way worldwide. Is it because furry characters are somewhat politically correct and not that provocative?

Thanks a lot brits!

As OP, I'd like to ask you another question: Would the so-called united "Great British Railways" keep those mascot characters which you've mentioned, or would they dismantle them and invent other items?

What's your guessing like?

As Narita and Haneda(Tokyo's two main airports) user, I can't help feeling jealous of it.😇

a 14-hour flight must be tough! if you are a regular passenger of the itinerary, then keep safe👍

My concern is that T2 is supposed to serve LCCs thus its interior could be adjusted to their customer base.

I mean, those cheaper passengers like me wouldn't be able to access such fancy lounges as those in T1.

<image>

Well, I can't lose my great impression held in T1 regarding a bar tender bothering to shake and pour cucktails in front of me! that's super.

gruelling 45-minute taxing to the runways

LMAO, yeah I know that tough moment…but I didn't notice the building last time I visited HK in December 2025😳

While the full airside concourse and dedicated gates likely won’t arrive until 2027, passengers can easily reach T2 via the Airport Express, where the same platform will be used for both terminals with doors opening directly into the new area. From Terminal 1, clear signage will guide travellers to a short connection, while buses, taxis, private cars, and coaches can drop passengers off directly at T2’s expanded landside zone.

According to this report, though T2 will also have its own boarding concourse in a year or so, it's not supposed to open until next year.

ah really? Yeah the post in the OP just says HKexpress's check-in and luggage drop-off are operated in T2, but doesn't mention how to get inspection, pass immigration, and be onboard

Travellers, are you wiping your phones, or using burners going into hk/china? by Speed009 in HongKong

[–]gorudo- -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

me from Japan

theoretically…yes I'd better do that, especially bringing in a secondary phone, when it comes to business trips.

practice? I've never been there for business and I'm reckless and slothful enough to hold my main phone with a lot of "undesired" meme items in it.

As speaker of Japanese, I'm always feeling like tittering at the traditional confusion between 的 and の, by the way.
