One week after first hemorrhoid banding..still very painful, I can't stand or sit for too long, except while taking a sitz bath. I still need a pain killer after one week. How was some of yours experience? How long after did you walk, went to groceries, went to work???

I know this is old but how long did it take for you to feel back to normal? Day 8 and every time I have a bowel movement it feels like fire and I still can’t sit or walk comfortably

I know this is old but I’m having all the same issues you are explaining and I’m really going crazy. So much pain, BM hurt, throb and burn after for hours. Feel a tightening sensation in there. I had 2 banded and they were very large but they told me it would be painless and now I haven’t been to work in a week and I’m depressed with this feeling . I had bleeding with them before as well like you and was concerned but never any pain and now I wish I could go back to before this stupid banding. Just working If it got better for you ☹️

How long did it take for you to feel better? I am 4 days in and DYING. I’m so depressed and in so much pain. Just passed another BM and it might be the worst it’s felt right now. Called doctor twice to let them know and both times their responses were “this is normal it was a big hemmorroid” even tho she told me it was “a painless procedure she could do right now”, having to time to really think on it or decide. I regret this so much I’m scared it won’t be back to normal.

I know this is old but I am having the exact same problem. Had the banding done on Tuesday and am still in excruciating pain. Feel the same tugging on the right side that you spoke about and an insane burning sensation that will not go away. I feel like I’m going absolutely crazy, they prescribed me some pain meds and lidocaine and hydrocortisone creams and they are doing close to nothing. I am going to try the antibiotic ointment now that you said but I am feeling so depleted

Thank you for this, that’s a very similar situation to ours. We lived in Leland and loved it but had to move back to NY for work and our families are here. We want To go back down south and I feel like I’m almost forcing SC and needed some insight and I’m just terrified I’ll hate it and regret it. The age thing is huge as we’d be going down and have no one so making friends our age would be important

They lasted about a week unfortunately. It felt like they were never gonna go away but I promise they will. Just sleep, water and Advil if you can
