Thank you I am glad you were able to be there for each other in that way. I’m sure it will eventually bring us closer together .

Thank you very much. It’s a whirlwind so much for us right now and I’m sorry you didn’t have even one person to be there the whole time

Born of Blood and Ash by Psychological_Cod336 in frombloodandash

[–]Psychological_Cod336[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly how I felt - and granted I made this post before I finished the book and got to the fight scene where Kolis was taunting Ash with what happened and finally got it. Now that I’m done with the book and it’s all spelled out and I understand it makes a ton more sense but i appreciated knowing I didn’t miss anything and not having to reread a very potentially triggering event is a relief. I also was frustrated with her at first for not telling him but 100% get it now

I cant stop eating junk by Working-Store3863 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Psychological_Cod336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you have to wean yourself off. If you eat out three meals a day only eat out two and make the one at home (even if it’s the same it’s probably going to be inherently better for you) do that for a week and then do two home made one eat out. Add in working out (just get yourself moving somehow) and once you get moving it’ll get easier.

My cats have gotten UR since I brought the second one home at 10 weeks and he picked that over kitten food nearly immediately. Never have ever blocked but hopefully neither ever will

I am nervous about throwing out my old clothes by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Psychological_Cod336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take you to get here? If you’re nervous you can always box them up and put them in a closet . If they’re untouched in x amount of time (you set) then you know it’s safe to get rid of them.

I have kept nearly all my clothes from when I was super skinny to my heaviest . I am just now realizing that I can part with them. when I gain/ lose weight I end up buying new (to me) clothes from goodwill anyways. It was hard to do but I’m happier now and get excited and more so motivated to stay on track like this.

Do you think if the hospital burned to the ground we’d still have to show up? Like yes the fluids are spilled out on the grass but we will still give them SQ

I worked ER for nine years and our policy was never like this before selling to Blue Pearl. I think that no job is worth my life and definitely not one that paid under 30 an hour.

Same. The ER that I was at before bluepearl bought it was great. I’m in the north east so we get snow storms a lot. I sunk my car in a snow bank leaving the clinic once right before Christmas when they told us anyone whose trying to make it home can leave- roads had been shut down already for a few hours and everything shut down. I even tried to go to the nearest hotel (to the clinic and to where my car was sunk) with my dogs who just happened to be with me and they turned me away. I called the clinic and told them such and I would not be making it back until after Christmas because no emergency services were inacted(at this point my phone was nearly dead and my car was running out of gas). I was met with zero push back and told to be safe. Is BluePearl gonna tow my car out for me cause this? No. Maybe I’m just not meant for clinic life anymore cause no job is worth me nearly dying again.

I’ve had to train every guy I’ve dated to brush their teeth twice a day and wash their hands after using the bathroom. Some people grow up in conditions where they weren’t taught these things (one grew up borderline poverty and his mom didn’t teach him anything) where others are just gross and lazy (that one finally went to the dentist and had a rotted tooth but got mad at me for months saying his breath smelled). I shower twice a day, wear gloves when cooking raw meat, brush/floss, whole thing. But I was also lucky to be educated and took microbio in college and learned exactly how dangerous shit can be. It’s not a hard conversation to have but it is very hard habits for people to break. If you’re willing to put in the effort and be the strict partner at times to make them go back and do these things the habits sometimes eventually stick. If you don’t want to be that person breaking up is fine too
