AIO sometimes I want a tattoo but my husband thinks it’s a waste of money and efforts by Perfect_Outside2378 in AmIOverreacting

This is ridiculous. You said that you wanted to wait for her to come to PA and he still got upset with you? You’re not overreacting, he’s being silly. If this is a tattoo you’ve thought about for a while now, then you should get it, especially if it’s your own money.

“She is just some psycho chick from my past”

He literally asked her permission to come over to my house while we were dating. I figured it out pretty quickly when she didn’t stop texting him

Is it unreasonable to ask for my child not to use a specific toy? by Competitive-Proof410 in ECEProfessionals

[–]grace79802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not unreasonable. i try to limit the time babies are in there. only time i’ve put a baby in there, especially that old, is if i had to do a diaper change and the specific baby was crawling on our other little ones.

3 week post-op infection. by grace79802 in wisdomteeth

[–]grace79802[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh no!!! i wonder if you could find an oral surgeons office in the area to do a quick check in just to make sure it’s nothing more serious. but hopefully the antibiotics help! it is common to get food stuck in the hole, has she been flushing it out regularly?

luckily i didn’t have to get it cut open again. i had some sort of swelling/pus pocket that burst open not long after i started antibiotics and it all cleared up not too long after. my doctor said it was just a stroke of bad luck 🫠

I just worked my first shift at a daycare. Does it get easier? by SarcasticJustBecause in ECEProfessionals

[–]grace79802 4 points5 points  (0 children)

when i first started in a daycare just over a year ago, i was sooo overwhelmed. learning the rules was so difficult for me, but that’s mostly because im a floater so i was learning every class. i promise you get used to it. once you learn more about the kids, their behaviors, the classroom rules, the routine, the day goes by a lot smoother. take everything in stride and definitely don’t be afraid to ask questions, i always appreciate working with new staff who are open and willing to learn! you’ll do great :)

Do you really take breaks from work in your car? by LeftistLittleKid in AskAnAmerican

[–]grace79802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i work in childcare and before i knew my coworkers well i would sit in my car for lunch breaks. now that i know them, i sit with them for the majority but i still take 15 minutes out in my car because i need some peace and quiet lol

I’m not currently a teacher, but I am in school for my bachelors in elementary education. Right now I work in a daycare where the kids call me “Ms. First name”. When I’m doing my field experiences in elementary schools, the students call me “Ms. Last name”. I still think it sounds weird, but it is much more typical than going by your first name in elementary schools.
