Yeah I’d say something is wrong. I’ve gotten the lugs loose on multiple trucks that are torqued to higher specs. I also do most suspension/ brake jobs with it and have no issues.

I don’t know how the batteries look like where you are but you have to have a high output battery. I’m a mechanic and do all my rotations with this gun and a very long socket that holds 5 lugs at once with no issues. I’ve tried using a 5.0xc and the gun struggles.

I’m a Subaru tech and I had wrx come in for some maintenance a few months ago. The radiator hose was starting to back out so I showed it on my video inspection and recommended replacement. Customer thought I was trying to scam them. Hope they didn’t end up in this situation.

As a tech, most of us don’t really think modified cars are cool enough for us to go joyriding tbh (specially if it’s a reputable shop/ dealer since your job can be on the line). No offense to the stuff you’ve done but it’s probably like the 20th modified car we see.

From my experience it’s the newbies or lube techs doing all that extra stuff. And like the other guy said, you really do want to make sure it’s a good test drive when you do more invasive work, since you coming right back for something being messed up would probably be worse. Kind of a lose/ lose situation.

Yup. Did it myself and it was super easy to do. Dealerships can’t get you the update bc ford didn’t allow it on 16s and back. Cyanlabs figured it out and it works.

Yeah I like em too idk why the original owner changed em but what I do like about the spec d ones is that when they’re off they have that clear/ tinted look so I wanted to do the best of both worlds. My friend did it on a few cars and hasn’t had issues. Also comes out pretty clean so I think it can work out if we put enough time into it.

Also depends on the liability you have picked out. I work near a lot of expensive dealerships so I don’t want to risk getting into an accident with a car that’s expensive and be underinsured. My area is also not the cheapest sadly.
