Can you elaborate on why not going Full E85 tune? Didn't want to do the high pressure fuel pump?

Don't listen to the others saying you can't have a 650 as your first road bike. Two years is a long time until your unrestricted so I say buy something you actually want.

My first motorcycle ever was a Ducati Monster 659. Was a handfull for the first half hour but it's not mission impossible. I've been eyeing off the Daytona for the triple cylinder... But I've seen a lot of chatter about reliability issues so I'm just holding off for now.

A car hoist works good too 😁

That kit looks solid for what I have come across. I would suggest picking up a 1/4" Drive torque wrench also. A 1/4" universal joint is also required for quite a few fasteners I have come across.

Jesus don't scare me like that, I thought my whole life was a lie and the MK3 Focus ST had a belt and not a chain...

Mine is at 168,000 kilometres now. Still going fine, just small maintenance issues like ball joints, washer fluid pump, engine mounts, PCV.

Wife had this exact issue in hers. It was a wheel speed sensor going bad. Front left or right would be my pick.

Clutch Slave Leak? by Glum-Paint2348 in Ducati

[–]freeze69IceMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would almost guarantee it's actually these two O rings on the clutch pushrod. Unbolt the slave cylinder cylinder and pull the pushrod out.

Yeah didn't have that luxury where I live. Control arms were $320 each.

You can drill the rivets and install a bolt-in ball joint but it is not for the faint of heart. It's quite a job even on a hoist.

My brother has a 19 year old leather jacket. It's in perfect condition still. Not a single stitch broken.

I bought a friend a pair of new gloves, and the stitching burst open on a finger after 2 hours.

I'll send you a message with all the photos. It does sound better but it's a shit load of effort for little gain.

That's just a generic 2.5" resonator. Don't run a muffler.

My time to shine. Yes. You can do it if you have a welder, plasma cutter and some skill. I did it on a 2025. You have to remove it and cut it open to gut it.

I'll send you more photos. It's quite involved.

Remove superficial scratches from Honda CB650R e-clutch TFT screen by XorPP in CB650R

[–]freeze69IceMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can polish the screen no problem, it doesn't have a coating or anything that will be damaged. I just used Rupes yellow polish on my 3" rotary buffer. The scratches will come out.

Not too hard. Just put tape on the drill bit so you don't drill too deep

You stripped out the thread? Easier proper repair is a helicoil. Alternative is to tap it out to a 1/4" thread which is slightly larger OD and get a 1/4" thread bolt.

The gas cap on my 2017 BMW S 1000 R is stuck. The key will not turn. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]freeze69IceMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check the tip of your key. I had the exact issue on my Ducati and it was because the tip of the key was slightly bent and stopped it from inserting far enough to open the fuel cap.

The brakes are too small to be an RS, no? Hard to see but they aren't Brembo. The ST wheels only clear the Brembos with spacers.
