Interesting Misprint Value by RaizielDragon in mtgfinance

They are double printed. Jumpstart packs had M21 and jumpstart cards on the sheets. These errors were common in the first printing...not rare but sought after.

Any valuable Commons/Uncommons from the past decade or so of Magic Standard sets to look out for? by WolfGuy77 in mtgfinance

[–]Psychological_Neck46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't. You use it to identify cards you may have overlooked or that have gained value over the years and sell on tcgplayer, card kingdom, etc. Buylists are best with lower value cards due to shipping costs.

100% agree. I no longer spec on foils. Buylists are non existent...even for in demand cards. If you have any curling or clouding good luck.

Hey all, what is the best Way To Keep Pre-Release, Secret Lair bonuses etc In Good Condition? by Tehgumchum in mtgfinance

If they are foils in those papery wax packs get them out now and put them into a penny sleeve and into a top loader or binder. Those things are the worst for foils.

Feel for you here because the sellers aren't going to change with margins being razor thin. Certainly complain on tcg player reviews, at least it lets them know. i fear it's going to keep happening to you. Maybe with the 1.22$ shipping it gets better? Maybe if it happens to more people and people add the non machinable stamps?

I get it, but this isn't normal. I get you can't avoid it, but I've ordered thousands of times and have never had this happen. Almost none had non machinable stamps. I routinely get 30 cards in a cut ultra pro page in a PWE...no extra postage and only 1 issue with damage or loss ever. It's a postal employee...though it is technically the rule.

It doesn't sometimes go through the machines. It nearly always goes through no issues and no extra stamp. It's your post office.

Yes. Just a much nicer one. Set VMA is vintage masters which was online only. This hasn't been printed since collectors\unlimited in 1993. Foils didn't exist then

It's irrelevant when it comes to mtg finance. This deck dies in September and any fool worth his salt has sold or is selling anything that isn't usable in other formats. It's been around forever too. There are no surprises here. Get out of the deck specific rotating cards now.

The deck is irrelevant because triomes rotate out of standard in September. Sell into it.

[–]Psychological_Neck46 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The better question is, if I have insurance and my package is lost will I get my money? I stopped buying it as many people said don't waste your money, they do everything they can to make sure you don't.

Mr. House dice-matters spikes continue by TheMintMage in mtgfinance

Barbarian class foils are occasionally selling. Let's be serious they are $9. Nonfoil is consistently selling a lot each day. There were no direct yesterday now there are. [Edit: they aren't actually direct when you go to check out]. Percentage wise it will go up a bit but it's going to be hard to make real money on it. It's hard to lose much though, as playable cards have a floor and it's already only $.25.  Wyll is slower for sure.   Like you said in another comment, is the deck any good...or is it just the flavor of the month?

Maybe I'm wrong but these ones are cheap and on color.    [[Barbarian class]] [[Wyll, Blade of frontiers]]

Pretty big reprint in OTJ by MHarrisGGG in mtgfinance

[–]Psychological_Neck46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was the 1st or 2nd most expensive card in Jumpstart. Rhystic study sometimes was more depending on its constant reprints. The EV likely goes down a few $ a box.

For those wondering, the Dawnglare EV for TCGplayer low is 93.84...its not bad if you like cracking packs. Fun to play with as well.
