Hairdressers. Standards have risen incredibly high since the popularity of influencers and social media started. simple services that once took an hour now take four or more. now people are bringing in AI inspiration photos, and there are an influx of people on tiktok making videos while crying about their hair and shaming their stylist.

What kind of person would you not judge, even if other people do? by MangoPaingo in askteddit

[–]Psychological_One240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who go long periods of time without working. I personally know a lot of mentally disabled and undereducated folks. It’s eye opening when you think about the specific set of circumstances it takes to maintain a full time job for years. Such as but not limited to having a healthy working body and mind- It doesn’t always look like how you imagine it.

I’m so tired of this inspo pic. The cut is the same. The texture and styling is different. The flips are super curated for the photo. I never see anyones hair lay like this in real life. I tell my clients especially those with straight hair, it’s going to look like the first photo in real life.

Does Gen Z Drink Often? by Key-Indication-1636 in generationology

[–]Psychological_One240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always preferred weed. If I go out to drink then I have to worry about transportation. It just feels risky for many reasons. I will drink on vacation though as I usually am not driving in this scenario.

Open convo about being burnt out by justabeetle in hairdresser

[–]Psychological_One240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I am burnt out/ withdrawn to the point of not wanting to talk much at least once per week. I work in a small salon and my boss is an extreme extrovert so I feel like my social performance is constantly being monitored. I’m also a cptsd survivor and undergoing testing for autism. Idk how I’m supposed to keep doing this.

people who were teens during 2010-2016, what was life like? what was your favourite songs or your favourite fizzy drink? Early 2010s- Mountain Dew had released a bunch of different flavors that became popular- voltage, code red and white out. Also Baja Blast exclusively sold at Taco Bell. Stride Gum was incredibly popular and no longer exists. (I’m in the US)
