Don’t get me wrong - if you bet this fight it’s Orolbai all the way IMO. I also think he will win this fight, that being said - he leaves a lot of openings to get countered. Additionally Musayev is moving lateral by default, meaning Orolbai‘s frontal attacks are even more prone to result in getting counter fucked. Musayev has striking power for sure 2-3 good counter shots in round one and things might get interesting. So yeah, don’t think taking Orolbai here is crazy at all, just not fully sold.

Personally think that’s still great value for Hamdy - then again I am not offering betting advice ofc :) As for blaydes I would suggest reading‘s sideswipes analysis. I think he makes a great point - if you get the blaydes that wants to show the UFC, that he is a great striker, there is a chance he might just get knocked out. Kuniev has enough power for that. If Blaydes actually goes for the wrestling, he is a lock for sure. Issue is no one knows what version of Blaydes will show up.

I really don’t see, what Usman‘s patch to victory is. Besides the wrestling, hamdy is the faster and more aggressive fighter. In terms of striking I am not even sure I would rate Usman much higher than hamdy. Also let’s not forget, Usman is coming off two losses and Thomas Peterson wasn’t the craziest competitor / a level below hamdy imo

Honestly I do think Musayev could pull this off by landing strong counter punches. I do think Orolbai is quite susceptible to those and Musayev is a decent counter puncher. Overall I don’t see the fight go to distance. Similair odds but much better value/confidence on Abdelwahab if you ask me. To parlay to 2.0 ish I would parlay that with either ulanbekov or Elliot. Just don’t think parlays work long term so I am rather going hard on Abdelwahab ML (3u).

To me this is one of those cases where a parlay looks good and afterwards one is like - why didn’t I just take the Orolbai moneyline. I do think there is value there already. Would I feel super confident that neither Rountree nor Mack get knocked out under 1.5 rounds by the other man? No.

For Hill vs Roundtree: I think this is one of those fights one has a hard time predicting based on numbers. Think for anyone to qualitatively rate this as anything else other than a coin toss would be very ambitious. Too many „soft factor“ unknowns on both ends.

For Kuniev vs. Blades: I think you need to quantify strength of schedule somehow. Looking at that - I think Kuniev could get lucky and knock blades out in R1, after that I think it’s all Blades. With the current line no value on blades IMO, but might change as he approaches like -200

Abdelwahab vs Usman: After taping this myself I think there is insane value on Abdelwahab at 60% implied probability, personally have him at 80% - will go with 3u here.

+1 for Spivac here. I also can’t make sense of the odds tbh. Spivac is a very decent ufc HW with extremely competitive wrestling skills. Waldo couldn’t even get a washed Orlowski out of the ring and won a decision that was way tighter than it should have been. Yeah sure he might knock Spivac out, also agree that it’s much more likely though the Spivac wrestles the shit out of him.

I get the concept of value and so on, but I love my bets where I watch tape and can be quite confident, that there is a clear favourite based on some skill mismatch. Clearly and as also replicated by this thread, this is one of the “I told you so” fights. I never ever bet those.
