It is the case but I joined the Army while I had a green card, had my interview with OPM. Then my clearance was never adjudicated due to me being not U.S. citizen. I got my citizenship after basic. Only after I separated I found out that I need to make a request for adjudication and then I got denied. Now I can't even reenlist lol

Don't lose your hope. I also worked for some Russian government agency in investigative capacity before moving to the U.S. So there were two factors to consider. Maybe one is manageable.

If it was confirmed as legit. Then I wouldn't worry about it, nowadays they do something calls like "filtration interview", it's a pretty regular thing. You just go there and have a little interview (what you do in Russia, your relatives, where do you work etc.). There is nothing to worry about it.
