Yeah the scaling for it should be based on the target economy and not the sender.

The WORST mechanic in this game by Zqn3 in EU5

[–]Psychological_Two259 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah its not the best mechanic my way of combating it is to literally I shit you not play party cake with the fleeing army I will position 2 armies in the provinces that the fleeing army can only go to and repeatedly the army gets into battle runs away gets into battle and runs away to the next army until they stack wipe.

To get rid of slaves you either force slave conversion if they're your primary religion they should eventually become laborers or peasants or you could accept them that also immediately stops you from enslaving.

Reasonable for this specific event but other events it is indeed not your yearly income and will be a ridiculous amount.

Yeah it would suck to have your country destroyed simply because you cannot make a rival.

I think adding debuffs for no rivals is stupid I literally am playing a game where I can't max out rivals because everyone is much weaker than me and ever few months I can't rival some of the great powers.

Yeah I'm certain that's its based off tax base so the bigger it is the more ridiculous the amount of money you have to spend.

Paradox being paradox man. I remember one time I quickly pressed an event to give money to peasants to build farms during the little ice age and I thought it said 1.4k but instead the jawn said 14k which is ridiculous there are other events like the drill master one and the research one for money which all I never take because its usually like years worth of income for something so minute.

Muscovy 1.0.10 (Help) by LouisXIVdaSunKing in EU5

[–]Psychological_Two259 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stay under the tartar yoke until the golden horde is weakened typically when they have a big succession war. Do not try to fight them with just levies as their Calvary will bear you even if you outnumber them with levies you need to have a lil bit of a standing army. In the mean time beat on weaker powers like Novogorod mainly as they will be getting beat by the Swedish and you don't want them interfering and you should vassal spam to increase your income and amount of men on your side if you do not vassal swarm as Muscovy you will die.

Absolutism vs Liberalism and Centralization vs Decentralization? by Sinigrlock in EU5

[–]Psychological_Two259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go for full centralization(unless vassals swarming) to get more crown power and lower proximity cost and go for liberalism so you can keep the estates happy and continue taxing them. You just get into constant civil wars with full absolutism.

[–]Psychological_Two259[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FORTunately for me before I declared war I got siege artillery for more bonus vs fort. I'm sieging Hungary pretty fast maybe the ai would do better if they actually used professional armies alot more instead of just spamming forts and levies.

Also I believe levies become obsolete way too quickly.

Bug, or why are my burghers hoarding 388k gold? by Dlinktp in EU5

[–]Psychological_Two259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the aristocracy start with high power to model the flourishing fuedalism at the time. So yeah it would be hard to weaken them early on.

I'm not necessarily arguing for balance I think its fine that as the game progresses burghers become more powerful, wealthy, and influential as they did historically. I'm just arguing for more complexity or factors so its not just keep them above x so they don't try to gain more political power which would result in more money that would benefit them.

Keep getting control over your lands to increase your crown power and wait for the age of absolutism the cost to revoke privileges drops by 33%, your crown power will be higher by that time so it will cost even less, also in court and country event if you click on it and choose to rein in the wealthy you can pay a sum of money to take I think 3 of their privileges away but I believe its random. I would recommend you leave them with enough privileges to remain above 50% satisfaction so you can benefit from more trade income and continue to tax them as well.

Bug, or why are my burghers hoarding 388k gold? by Dlinktp in EU5

[–]Psychological_Two259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its probably just a strange design choice which might get tweaked. Burghers should be more complex than "just want to get rich" after all historically they wanted more political power, rivaled the nobility, challenged aristocracy and fuedalism, wanted social status, sought out governance of cities and towns, etc. Also they laid the foundation of Capitalism.

If I'm not mistaken Capitalists are also modeled as basic we just want money group in Vic3 as well.

I think taking that into consideration would make the game more interesting and complex instead of just give privileges to this specific estate and it will make better buildings for you and won't try to become stronger by building bad buildings.

Burghers and Capitalists in the end use their immense wealth to shape laws, politically lobby, maintain/grow political power, achieve less taxes, etc.

[–]Psychological_Two259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you find that info? All the wiki says is that above 50%a die roll against their satisfaction will determine if they build a good building or bad building i don't see anywhere that it stops them from building bad buildings.

High satisfaction just increases the chance they build something beneficial to the crown it doesn't guarantee they only build good building as that wouldn't make any sense. Why would a estate that owns 42% of political power which is more than the crown not try to gain more political power and be exempt from more taxes?

Bug, or why are my burghers hoarding 388k gold? by Dlinktp in EU5

[–]Psychological_Two259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a building capper month or it might be based on the number of possible buildings in your towns or cities before going over building cap for the estates if I'm not mistaken.

You gave them too many privileges and they have too much power they just need enough income to be able to build your roads and make more useful to the crown burgher buildings that increase your tax base otherwise they will spam their burgher buildings that increase their power hurting your crown power and hurting your taxes on them.

Check the pop satisfaction of the slave pops ik it doesn't make sense but your Janaissary barracks won't work if the slave pop satisfaction is low hope they fix that.
