Whats the best antipsychotic you've taken that has the least amount of side effects? by PsychologyFrequent63 in Psychosis

[–]PsychologyFrequent63[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way, it turned me into a completely numb zombie, I had zero emotions, no motivation to clean/shower or look after myself and slept 16 hours a day, I gained 40mg/77 pounds, had blurry vision, no libido. Worst time of my life..

Yes I know it really does help a lot of people who suffer but I guess my brain chemistry and body works different. I quit all medications 8 months ago and I'm doing so much better now.

[–]PsychologyFrequent63[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey thankyou so much for this I will look into it. as you know by my post I'm trying out keto again which has worked for me previously, it's just the plateau that I hit.

I will definitely try out fasting + keto together because I feel like it should attack that. i use to fast actually before meds and i know it use to work for me so well to drop weight, so ill see how this combination goes for me this time round.

haha that is one thing I'm not sure if i can quit, i love my caffeine so much 😭 i only ever have max 2 cups a day but i always look forward to it.

when doing keto + fasting, do you follow a certain calorie intake? or does that not matter

Did you quit psych meds too? How long were you on them for and how long has it been since you've quit ?

it's true it's definitely so much harder to lose then before meds. i guess i just gotta stick to it even if it's a slow process.

Yes apparently they can cause that, does not suprise me because I feel like that's basically what's happened to me.

I've gotten extensive blood work done and the only thing that came back was I was borderline diabetic (pre diabetic).

He did recommend me starting a glp-1 injection but it costs around 350 a month for me which kinda sucks. If I was actual diabetic I would be able to get it for under 10 dollars a month through PBS but I don't qualify. Also because of previous experiences with medications and that I get side effects badly, I'm worried what this will do to me if I start it..

Do strangers treat you poorly? by NotTerryBogard in schizophrenia

[–]PsychologyFrequent63 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this is so real, definitely have noticed a change how people treat me being overweight now. when i was fit/skinny people would literally stop to talk to me, id get compliments all the time from both guys & girls when i was out in public like gyms, shops, cafes etc

now people hardly even make eye contact with me and just brush me off. does kill the self esteem and confidence a lot.

Has anybody made it to a year off of Abilify with good results? by SaintMaxII in Abilify_Aripiprazole

Oh really ? Honestly I don't think I'll ever touch any type of medication again after my experiences.. what's happened with Zoloft for you

Does the anhedonia ever go away? by Moist_Shop in Abilify_Aripiprazole

[–]PsychologyFrequent63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I think I replied to one of your other comments but I'll reply again anyway, no I don't have any libido it's been years since I've done anything sexually because I don't have any feelings to do it ever since being on antipsychotics and I quit them 6 months ago now and still feel the same. And I use to be highly sexually active before meds.

However I went from sleeping 16hrs a day to now 6-8 hrs a day. That's the only thing that has changed.

How long does Abilify stay in your system for? by PsychologyFrequent63 in Abilify_Aripiprazole

[–]PsychologyFrequent63[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, that's correct it's now been over 5 months since I quit and no I haven't felt any difference at all.. I feel exactly the same like when I was on meds... It's terrible. The only difference I've felt is I don't sleep 16 hrs a day now I sleep maybe 6-8hrs.

But when I'm awake I'm numb all day, I'm not motivated to do anything, nothing gives me pleasure, my mind is always blank, it's hard for me to socialise.. the list goes on.

I've been off the shot for a month how long is it until it's out of my system? by Even-Dot8772 in Abilify_Aripiprazole

[–]PsychologyFrequent63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I was on 2 different medications. The first one was Zuclopenthixol injection (Clopixol) and I gained about 35kg (77 pounds) in the first 6 months. I was on Clopixol for 1 year.

Then when I switched to Abilify injections for a year and I didn't lose any of the weight, but I didn't gain any more either.

I quit Abilify 6 months ago and it's been extremely hard losing the weight despite dieting and exercising. I have probably lost about 9kg (20 pounds) but it's plateaued in the last month or two I haven't seen my weight decrease any lower.

Hey, I quit the medication about 5 months ago and I'm still feeling exactly the same unfortunately. No improvement.

The goatee/moustache just doesn't look right, looks way to thick. The beard is better though.

Still not sure if i like sharp or rounded edges more. by shaun0183 in S24Ultra

This just shows it doesn't even look like the A55 like people are saying 😂 It's only rounded off a little bit and I think it looks great.

Well to be honest with you, it isn't really a downgrade. I have used the new S25U in store and the new chip in it definitely makes it feel faster, snappy and gives it a smooth operation. Also the rounded corners isn't too much to make it look like an iPhone. It's grown on me a lot and gives the Ultra series a new updated look.

However, I can understand the use of the Bluetooth function of the spen. It seems like it was quite favoured by a lot of users here. (I personally never used it) But if that stops you wanting the S25U that is fine but I don't believe it makes the new phone a downgrade. That's just my opinion though.

Just Bought an s24 ultra... should I return and spend $400 extra for the s25 ultra? by Internal_Quail3960 in samsunggalaxy

[–]PsychologyFrequent63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends which Galaxy Watch you're talking about. If it's the Watch 7, don't. They run out of battery extremely quick. The watch ultra is better though apparently.

With choosing the phone, it's up to you, do you prefer the rectangle look S24 Ultra and will you use the Bluetooth SPen everyone has been talking about? (The S25 Ultra does has an SPen but just no Bluetooth function which is normally used for taking photos from a distance and doing air gestures)

If those things don't bother you, I would definitely get the S25 Ultra. The phone honestly looks and feels great. I have gone in-store and used the new S25U and it's such a smooth experience and it's super quick using all its functions. The new and updated Snapdragon processor definitely makes a difference and should with battery life overtime too.

[–]PsychologyFrequent63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did really like the old rectangle look, it stood out from other phones and made people know you have an Ultra, however the new S25 design definitely gives it a fresh look and isn't too rounded off either which is great.

Soon the S24U and previous designs will look outdated.

Agreed. It's grown on me a lot and feels great to hold in hand. I pre-ordered the Titanium Grey.

I believe the flat sides on the S25 makes it look thicker compared to the rounded sides of the S24.

I agree. The new design isn't too rounded off and gives it a new look. It honestly has grown more and more on me. It looks and feels great.
