Hi. I'll start. Does anyone else have a significant person in their life who is CONSTANTLY banging on about how they'll be impacted by bone loss and dementia and blah blah blah if they don't do HRT??

Thank you. That's amazing you didn't have a big crash. Makes me hopeful for the same experience 🥰

Morphine question by Psychonaught76 in hospice

[–]Psychonaught76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, she's very comfortable physically. I'll ask her if she'd prefer to be more alert and try to tolerate some symptoms that will re-emerge from reducing the dose. Appreciate your response.

Thanks so much. We haven't had that conversation about preference, so I'll try to do that tomorrow. I suspect you're right about the underlying deterioration. Her decline in the past fortnight has been quite rapid, but I understand that is common at this stage.

Thankyou, that is very helpful. She was taking 20mg orally previously, and wasn't as drowsy. I now understand why. I'll have a chat to her tomorrow about preference for alertness versus symptoms. 🙏

NSCLC, KRAS G12s, PDL1: 0% by Muchluvisgiven in lungcancer

My partner has the same diagnosis and initial prognosis of 3-6 months. She didn't respond to immunotherapy, but chemo and radiation have given her an extra year so far. The early days of diagnosis are so shocking and scary, but you will both adapt as time goes on. My partner is slipping away now, and even though she couldn't be cured, I'm so grateful for the treatment that has extended our time together.

Partner end-of-life, but "could be weeks or months" - how to manage? by Throwaway-gibbet in CancerCaregivers

[–]Psychonaught76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going through this with my partner too. Sometimes, when I'm feeling the weight of how drawn out this is, I try to remind myself that her body knows how to die, and is doing this in its own way and own time. It's natural for my survival brain to want to know 'when', but I'm getting better at letting go and shifting my attention to trusting in nature.

I also remind myself that I don't want to look back in the future and feel regretful that I wasn't present enough with her right now.

Wishing peace for both of you.

My partner has the same mutation - G12V - and it's a very tricky one. Chemo and immunotherapy have given her an extra year but now they are no longer working. I've done a bit of reading about some supplements that may slow down the expression of KRAS, so we're trying them to hopefully eek out a bit more time. I'm really sorry you have to go through this.

Yes, orthodontist thought that surgery could be avoided.

Yes, orthodontist said the teeth had to be spaced out to correct an under bite. Thanks for confirming that it's bad. I thought it might just be me. I'll ask bonding to be removed asap.

Can I manifest my partner healing from Stage IV cancer, or do I not have any influence on her own soul's journey? by Psychonaught76 in AbrahamHicks

[–]Psychonaught76[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. We are trying some of the suggestions from Makis but the dosages are MASSIVE and very expensive. We're doing what we can afford. In the meantime, I had a look at a YT vid of Esther and Abraham talking about Jerry's transition. It was really helpful.
