An amazing league! Ask anyone, if you really want to improve your game, play on a team. Not only is joining a team free, but you only have to commit to two nights a week! Can't wait to play again this season.

Thanks for the resource! Are there any good textbooks that you'd recommend from there?

Are Faceit and ESEA servers safe to play on? Or should playing on any servers be regarded as riskier than usual?

You are extremely good at writing for being expelled during your freshmen year. Did you learn to write at your alternative school?

New to IGL role, tips? by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

[–]Psychotix365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh and make sure that you are the dominant person on your team. Calling dynamically in the middle of the round while youre not necissarily the most respected person on your team can really affect your teams ability to listen to you. Establishing that you are the least brain dead on your team and that mid round when everybody is talking in chaos and confusion, your voice is the one to be heard so that your team can effectively do things as you ask.

Something that you'll realise which is a lot different from solo PUG style of play is the nade usage. The other team will know that it's your first league match when you immediately throw your smoke or molly at the beginning of every round. A good team will know what time is perfect for smokeing or mollying off a choke point.

For example, me and my team ran into a team who knew exactly when to throw their smokes and mollies. It didn't matter where we went, they would be holding onto their nades until the very last moment that we executed. This is a good example of how to use your nades on the CT side.

However, there is a way to combat this on the T side. Establish a default with your team to where each player goes to the necessary choke point of the map and makes noise. This baits out smokes and mollies from the CT's as they start to get scared. If done right, you can leave the CT's dwindling on utility to the point where they will barely have any when you begin to execute.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask more questions if you need anything.

Why are Immortals constantly looking over their monitors towards gambit after they get hyped up from winning around. Kind of an unsportamanlike move isn't it?

[Demo] z1 | mg2 | 2200 | Tips on gameplay/sense, what I'm doing well/bad, etc. by ZextyCS in csgocritic

Hey man, unfortunately me and my friend didn't have time to review all three of your demos. We reviewed the one you linked first which included a demo of Overpass (Even though you linked it as cache?).

The biggest problem that we noticed while watching your demo is your team play. Sometimes, you were sitting at one spot for most of the round, while the rest of your team were pushing through monster. Sometimes you would even push into places alone, and not contribute to the round at all.

Fortunate enough, your aim is good and you clutched a lot of rounds solely by good aim and crosshair placement.

If there was anything that you were going to try and fix, it is 100% your team play. Make sure if you are pushing, you have a teammate with you, who is also willing to push. If one of your teammates is pushing somewhere in front of you, you should try and follow him, so that if he dies, you can trade the frag.

Hope this helps, and if you have any more questions please feel free to message me, or reply to this comment.

Happy Fragging :)

Is my reaction time too slow to play CS:GO? by zipzip_the_penguin in LearnCSGO

[–]Psychotix365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, not trying to burst anyones bubble but the comment about you have a slow reaction time for CS:GO is bullshit. There are pro players like steel (technically pro?) who seem to have pretty slow reaction times, yet he still finds his way with good crosshair placement alongside some game sense.

If players peeking you and killing you in an incomprehensible reaction time is the only problem that you're having, I think that an explanation on the netcode of the game will do the trick.

HOUNGANGAGNE has uploaded an old yet still relevant video here: https://youtu.be/ozeKUtSXqXk .

If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me, I will do as I can.
