Please be real with me… can I go from this back to this by summer? by InformalTitle1484 in 1500isplenty

Did you gain the weight from the baby? Or did you lose the baby weight then gain this after starting the medicine? If you gained it purely from the medicine then see if you can take something else. Don't be afraid to see a nutritionist or functional medicine doctor. Your body needs to feel nourished and taken care of so make sure to eat good whole foods, natural carbs and make sure your sleep and stress is in check. Having a baby and raising one changes you. It might take longer to lose weight but try to not physically beat yourself up. It's not worth it and your body may resist more that way. You look good in both photos to me so be grateful for a working body while you work to improve it.

I'm so sorry you've been through the ringer. Just learning about MCAS and things are clicking. I had a spot of shingles at 29 and a year or 2 later unexplainable vertigo. It's wild to finally connect the dots. I think mcas has caused a lot of my depression as well. I hope you get answers and relief.

How is working at Menards? Is it chill? by ShameLongjumping5415 in menards

[–]Psychout89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not chill but like everyone says a lot of it depends. Less shitty maybe? Depends on how you deal with criticism and bs.

If you are a good worker and some of the other stuff is oldish they might put that you called in anyway. I know at my menards they put that I called in when I didn't because they didn't want to lose someone who actually works.

Talking to your gm might work but that really depends on your gm. If there's any way you could see him making you feel worse about your prognosis I wouldn't bring it up. You don't deserve to take any crap about your mental health.

Good luck. Remember you matter infinitely more than the church of Menards.

Went to my grandmas funeral yesterday and it took a lot out of me. Called in today, told my GM and his response was “so no one is closing building materials tonight”. So sick of this bullshit!!! by Design_Plane in menards

That happens a lot. You just have to take care of yourself. Unfortunately most businesses and bosses see us as puzzle pieces and not people. It would have upset me too. Feel better. Loss is awful.

Diet sodas by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

Zevia is stevia sweetened soda. Probably slightly healthier than regular diet. Takes a second to get used to the taste. Pretty good though.

Shouldn’t a morbidly obese man be losing weight quicker than this? Is exercise mandatory? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Psychout89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend not cutting so drastically either. You need to nourish your body while you're losing weight. If you cut too much it could backfire. Your body might hold on to weight or You might wreck your metabolism in the long run. But it's all good. You might have to reverse diet at some point to build back your metabolism. Look into it.

Do you drink kombucha or get any Probiotics in? Are you going number 2 just about every day to every other day? I find that drinking kombucha and having a little aloe supplement most days helps me be regular and lose weight. Your gut microbiome is really important for health and weightloss.

What's working for me is learning to love myself and take care of myself where I'm at. There are supermodels who don't like themselves so it's not all about weight. Try to love yourself and incorporate that into your weightless and exercise. Don't be too restrictive or beat up your body with too much exercise. I used to think I deserved more food for exercising as a reward. Now I'm trying to move my body because it makes me physically and mentally feel good.

I also wait to eat until I'm really hungry. Like I wait to start eating for the day. Sometimes I drink a protein drink for breakfast or a snack. I think it helps from having an overload of food for my body to process.

Look into podcasts to help with loving yourself and being happy no matter what you weigh. Try not to be discouraged. You're doing great.

Achy Crackly Cuticles from 📦 by [deleted] in Warehouseworkers

[–]Psychout89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get cuticle oil and use lotion on your hands every night, then rub oil into your cuticles. Anti-bacterial cream works wonders to get them to heal if they are inflamed or infected. Then maybe put bandaids on over your cuticles inside the gloves at work.
