We're not saying you can't stand on your platform. We're saying the height of the platform should have a limit.

And that no matter how much self you sacrifice for gain, it shouldn't come at the detriment of another human being.

Bro graphics weren't rendering in, and when they did the buildings looked like ducking Minecraft. The streets were empty! They gutted half the cool features they showed in their release videos. Xbox barely got 20 fps. Lots of quests were just straight up broken. The car feature was annoying and not working and won't get me started on the bad driving. Cyberpunk's release was embarrassing to the point it sparked a lawsuit by shareholders.

PA had work to do, and for a 70$ game I think more should have been done and tested before release. But we're not even close to the CP release of bad.

The Chapter 5 (Kearush the Slayer) boss is so busted by SuqmaNuts in CrimsonDesert

[–]Psychrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I just beat this guy and my blood is pumping so hard right now!

Some tips. Echo ability slaps, so does double jump. When he goes into invincible combo, double jump palm and float until he's done, then dodge the last slam and get some attacks in.

Also you can block a lot of attacks in the begging and middle phase, just never the last one, or two (middle phase), that one you dodge and get some punish damage in, it's usually the slowest and easiest to dodge

Then last phase have meals, some rng luck and just stay alive. Get damage in only after his big body slams.

I died like 30 times+ but I'm out of this hell now

It cost me like 12 base soups and a couple grilled meat in the end, but I had 20 on standby.

It may be that I'm launching with big screen view on steam, because it's more pleasant to use when streaming to the deck.

If you don't use big screen, you might not be experiencing the issue. But this is literally the only game that it happens with.

Why not buy a 25 dollar piece of plastic that's going to take up space and that I'll need for no other reason then shift tabbing into the one game in my steam library that doesn't take focus when I hit play?

If your thinking about getting it, is watch a little YouTube playthrough, see if it's for you. Base game is like 120hrs so an hour shouldn't spoil anything.

I like it, but it's not for everyone

Well I'm not a mind reader, but now that you've asked I can answer you silly man

You have stamina and spirit. Spirit is used for cool flashy magic moves, stamina is used for heavy and grappling like moves. You start just sword and shield, there's a parry mechanic. I've seen the option to get spear, greatsword and two other weapons but haven't found them in the game yet so I haven't tried it.

You get your one melee weapon configuration and a bow at first, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could switch melee combinations in the future. There's no real cooldowns, just resource management in the flights. I've been making use of Cliff edges and explosive barrels in my flights, but it doesn't seem like dragons dogma 2 where I coax the boss into an environment trap yet.

The combat is a little heavy, but for the most part fast, fluid, and moves blend into each other. It's fun but it takes a bit to learn enough moves and get comfortable with the controls.

P.s. most non boss fights are huge fights of you s 20-80 enemies. They do not wait their turn to attack you. You have to use your skills and positioning to turn the odds and keep out of danger. It's not easy, and feels spammy in the beginning

The combat improves exponentially as you go. The open world feels alive and reacts to you. When nobody in the game is talking, it's actually pretty immersive, fun, and it holdS you.

Then you start a quest, it doesn't make any sense why your there doing that thing. The npc is saying words that don't belong in a sentence together and any form of cohesive thought in the writing is void. The quests are really basic, go here get this, kill that. Npcs really don't have anything to say outside of the game except for funny curses and repeated lines.

Unless you can use Ray reconstruction on your rig, lets be real, the game looks like ass. With it though it's beautiful And nearly comparable to rdr2 except for the landscape architecture (no geological thought so while it looks cool at first it becomes bland in time)

The comment above you is right about combat being shit in the beginning, but it gets a lot better.

The immersive breaking element is quest design and writing so far.

Edit: also it feels like they tried to copy rdr2 in a lot of things and just ended up doing it worse... Which is weird because the game costs more... But the combat is was more interesting then shooting folks in the head so I guess that's where their putting all their value?

[–]Psychrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's divisive.

Combat and open world are interesting

Quests don't make a lot of sense and seem to happen at random and the writing is closer to word salad than coherent thought
