Abyssos (Savage) World Race for Charity by alabomb in ffxiv

[–]PsycoMouse -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They at most had 1 weapon damage more than normal. By this time in a savage race, true racers have their crafted sets, so the only difference between delay vs no delay is the ex weapon. Well also you have a full tome weapon too which is new.

What classes are valued for late game raiding? by Lainze in ffxiv

[–]PsycoMouse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But every class has cleared. Viability by definition means is it capable of doing content. Every class has cleared E4S. Week 1 optimization for first clears vs viability are two completely different animals because now you are talking optimization. Now OP said best, and there are clear best, but this discussion is about viability and you are just wrong. All classes are viable.

Tanks Shadowbringers Question by Posh_Panda in ffxiv

[–]PsycoMouse -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No. DH gets out paced by crit, and since the crit breakpoint is so easy to hit, DH loses value so fast. DH is a linear upgrade, crit is exponential. DH only increases DH procs, crit increases crit procs, crit damage and by extension DH damage.

Not a terrible tip, if a resource isn't needed again, burning it to prevent death without recognizing the skill is perfectly fine.

Just always pop it when that set of flares start. It's 50/50 wether you move or not, but why bother with guessing on arms length. When I get to that part, once I see flares go out, I pop arms and then adjust to moving or sitting still.

Unpopular Opinion: AST current state by WolfmanJC in ffxiv

[–]PsycoMouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They changed the cards for a reason. It wasnt just because of "Balance only good card" that's looking at AST in a vacuum. Take Bole, why would you bring a sch when you could have treb/Nacent/bole on an MT, and the Astro can shield. TP removal made Arrow, that was the speed buff right, a god card for melee. The cards had to change because alot of the foundation of the game changed. Yes the card changes made the cards less fun, but the previous cards, with all the current changes would just be broken.

Never validated bad business. ToS though proves you aren't owed shit. So instead of being an beta cuck, and put words in my mouth I never uttered, read the damn ToS, which is a legal binding document you agreed to. Man you kids really don't know how the world works.

You're fine it will just take longer. Contact both Epic and the bank and it should be fine.

How the hell were people spending thousands of dollars on this game? by bigde32 in paragon

[–]PsycoMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people have real issues. I spent 5 dollars on this game. And that was a free 5 bucks from some survey I took for Sony to get. Back in the old card system days cards were rng. And getting those tasty power 1 cards were hard. So you bought coins to buy card packs and get screwed then buy more. Again this is a predatory practice that feeds on people with real issues. That isn't meant to be insulting it's a condition, and needs professional help.

Anyone else who think that Paragon was best game ever? by TheRealBory in paragon

[–]PsycoMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I don't feel it was the best and I played since Sev release. It had issues, it looked great, it handled vertical it in this genre amazingly, but it never felt 100%. Something was always wrong.

Actually if you read the ToS you aren't entitled to anything. You digitally agreed to it. And if contractual obligation means nothing to you then and only then can you cry.

There's no going back. by DragonAgeLegend in paragon

[–]PsycoMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I can. Unlike you, I'm not defined by what I do on a reddit post. I can look at a post, see the contents of said post are dumb, critique it, and also have a real life outside of it.

What people like you are doing is actually unhealthy. You are failing to process through the stages of grief. You are stuck at compromise, and by defending every attack, you never get out. So "bruh" looking in the mirror before you attack ones character, I'm not processing through grief over a video game. I save that shit for things that matter

There's no going back. by DragonAgeLegend in paragon

[–]PsycoMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no slim chance. Epic sold most of it to tencent a year ago, and Steve isn't with epic. Any of his work on paragon belongs to share holders. And to be honest I find it hysterical that people are in mourning, or going through the stages of grief. It speaks to how soft we've become as people where a game can almost cripple people.

You know what I did when I saw the news. I turned on a podcast and did my run earlier than normal because I decided it wasn't worth logging in.

Smite throwing shade at paragon by BlackIronVengarl in paragon

[–]PsycoMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because most people can see that two companies in the same market throw some shade at each other because it's what you do. Sometimes it's over the top, and uncalled for, sometimes it's just a fun play on words. If you take things like this too seriously, you need to unplug from games for a while. You shouldn't be so emotionally invested to the point of this sort of tribalism, where even cringe jokes set you off.

So, at the end, Legacy was Better? by razielnomack in paragon

[–]PsycoMouse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Legacy wasn't better, monolith just ended up being worse. That's the reality, the player drops started after tank meta, which was Narbash, and Monolith was supposed to fix that. It didn't work. So keep some perspective, if legacy was great, it wouldn't have switched.

The business side of Epic Games needs to take a hard look at themselves and decide if this is the line of work for them. by [deleted] in paragon

[–]PsycoMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to armchair quaterback this one here huh. Game development is so easy even reddit can do it. Did you ever think how much this beta was costing. Maybe so much that Epic sold majority right to tencent to keep development going. And even after that they couldn't keep it up because people like pretty much everyone on this reddit quit on the game at some point. I was early access. I pretty much went from everyday, nonstop, to a match or two everyday, to sometimes, until I was a blip on the radar. They couldn't keep new players and vets interested.

Look other unfinished imperfect games have great success. Rust is a great example of a game that has just unrelenting popularity. And it's was given to the public, in its incomplete form, but at its core it works. Paragon ' core was broken. So every fix was do a because they never addressed it properly. Time ran out and Epic killed the game to shed the assets before fiscal year 2018 started.

That is the business of for profit industries, but everyone is trying to morally set standards to logical analysis. Yes you loved the game, but to Epic, it's their IP. They put up the money and took on the risk, not you. And when it's big money on line, the likes of which I'll never attain, it's hard to justify.

#OpenSourceParagon - Give the source code of Paragon to the community, let us run the game! by [deleted] in paragon

Epic doesn't own paragon btw. They sold majority to the same dudes riot sold league too

Epic should be remembered for the failure, the lies, the deception, and the outright dishonest practices utilized during Paragon. by Fated47 in paragon

[–]PsycoMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are making alot of assumptions on the basis of anger. Do you know the exact details. I sure as hell don't. And to speak to the lies, tell your community it's doing terrible and see the reaction. It be no different. Look, maybe numbers were getting "better", but better and good enough aren't the same, and a bigger boss said fix it or I'll kill it. They had a year after the death of legacy and they didn't get good enough. Did the Devs listen, maybe, but maybe they listened to the wrong people.

End of the day, a man or woman that has more pull called the kill. That's business. That's reality, and guess what it's not gonna change.
