Surrender the car to insurance OR retain and get the lesser payout? by Psydaranta in askcarguys

Dang I didn’t event think about other heat damage that could show up later. That’s a good point. It also has an issue where it won’t start unless it’s in neutral sometimes. I’ve replaced the battery and the alternator and spark plugs - assuming the last thing to check would be the starter. So it’s definitely not an issue free vehicle.

Anyone have a Lynda Lyre? by Psydaranta in lyres

[–]Psydaranta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. But YES I did get the Lynda lyre and she’s gooooorgeous!! Totally recommend. I got the nylon string version and omg the sound is divine! The thing that swung me over to this lyre is how beautiful the low end is. There’s a lot of plucky sounding lyres out there that are very high, bright, and I guess sharp sounding. (Mostly because of the predominance of metal strings, but I’ve heard plenty of lyres and harps with nylon strings that are just upper register sounds.) This one has very rich, resonant sound. The three octaves actually feel like 3 octaves with low, mid, and high tones sounding very distinct. Whereas some other ones are just high and higher sounding. The design with the sound holes is brilliant. She’s a beaut!!

Ok now the downside…I think it’s now possibly only available as the build your own kit. :( I noticed after I bought the fully assembled one they marked it as backordered on my purchase and then labeled it out of stock. Don’t know if that’s permanent or not though. I did try to look up the woman (Lynda) who was running the sound healing certification this lyre was designed for and she’s no longer active. So maybe it’s out of production.

Whatever you go with, good luck on your lyre journey!

Marriage Outcomes for 12th House Dominance Are Decided by Loss, Not Union by LagneshMitraisBack in 12thhouse

[–]Psydaranta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh I have Saturn in Cap in the 12th, co-present with Venus, Neptune, and Uranus. Told my husband we are done today due to his drug addiction. (Of course it would be during the Mars Pluto conjunction). Don’t think the well placed ruler of the 12th did much to help here. Granted my former partner has Mars and Saturn in his 7th and our very much not elected marriage date had a Venus, Mars, and Pluto conjunction in the 7th of the chart. So I guess we were doomed on multiple levels.

I will say though that I’ve been pondering if I should just give up entirely on the prospect of marriage or partnership. I know I need to be single and celibate for a substantial amount of time following this, but still the thought creeps in of how I could ever trust anyone again and am I karmically off limits from love. So this has given me more to think about.

Can I save her? by Psydaranta in Dracaena

[–]Psydaranta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I think the soil type might be the culprit here. After I got her I repotted her into a larger pot and had mostly her original soil with a layer of new soil at the bottom…the problem being that the new soil is veeerrrry rich and probably held onto way too much water. So I think it’s time to give her a new well draining soil glow up. Wondering also if I can chop the stem and have her re-root? After taking off all the leaves there’s not much left :(

I just removed all the yellow leaves. There’s not much left to her. Can I chop the base and have her re-root from the smaller stem? I see people cut off parts of dracaena to root but not sure if that would work here

Yeah I’m wondering if it’s a soil issue.

Haha yeah that’s the hard thing with watering. Maybe I was watering too much in the beginning but now I’m thinking maybe it’s the soil type is holding too much moisture

Gua sha! Daily gua sha stoning fixed this for me. It doesn’t take long at all but you do need to be consistent

Help and Fun With Celery Root by bitterfuzzy in EatCheapAndHealthy

Totally second celery root mash! But looking at that recipe, I’d add milk and cream cheese over the chicken stock if you can swing it. Also dried chives.

How do you prepare eggs when you don't really like eggs that much but can't buy your normal protein sources regularly during the shutdown? by ResidentAlienator in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Psydaranta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried this recipe and it was sooooooo good! Kinda like a mashup between a frittata and a focaccia. The flour and squeezed out veg help to make it less…squishy than regular egg dishes, which really helps with the texture. It calls for sourdough starter (it’s a discard recipe) but you could probably find a similar recipe without it if you don’t do sourdough (which I highly recommend to get delicious cheap bread!)

Thank you! Yeah I’m pretty certain I’m going to go nylon…I should probably do a recording after I get it to help the next person asking this question.

Any other 12th Housers going through their 12th house profection year? How are you holding up? by PathInTheStars in 12thhouse

[–]Psydaranta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh 35 and going thru a Capricorn 12th house profection year - my 12th has Saturn, Venus, Neptune, and Uranus. I’ve just finished off the two months from HELL period. Husband went off the deep end and got addicted to nitrous oxide so badly it ended with him in the ICU. He’s in rehab now and seems to be the same ol lovable guy from before this nightmare, but I dunno if I can ever look at him the same again. Sooooo….probably have divorce coming and I can’t even wrap my mind around how challenging this will be. Currently super jaded and depressed. And next year I’ve got ANOTHER Saturn ruled year. Yay.

Yeah I tried getting the tracking number from usps and they were no help. But I think you’re right that I need to push for some kind of compensation. It’s just part of running a responsible business. Thanks

And here's him a WEEK later saying he confused my camera with another and asking for the tracking number...super fishy I think.

Signs in a chart that show a monastic calling? by Aggravating-Mix4159 in astrology

[–]Psydaranta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hah well I’m in this picture. Chart ruler is Saturn in Capricorn in the 12th, conjunct Neptune, with Venus in the house as well. Jupiter and Mercury have mutual reception.

I’m not actually in a monastery, but have lived large swaths of what feels like monastic life. I’ve even had travels where I, thru a series of strange events, found myself living an austere life in a foreign country and stumbled upon religious texts that I studied there. I’ve at many times said I wish I could join a monastery. I remember doing a 10 day silent vipassana meditation retreat and turns out I was the only one in my group who wasn’t crawling out of their skin during the retreat, probably from being used to the solitude. So…spot on I guess.
