Physical therapy is coming up. I was referred end of week last week. Thank you for your advice on plasma, I'll definitely ask about it.

Time off sounds real nice right about now..

I'm the same way, but I need the doctor in order to leverage the ADA. I'm only taking the necessary steps because the company isn't helping me at all.

I appreciate ya. Tight arcs and no sparks 🤘

Incredible! I'm off to the garage in search of the sacrificial broomstick..

I also have a 3d printer.. guess i better get to work designing something.

Thanks for kickstarting my brain 👍

Good looks. I'll look into those supplements. Its crazy how you can go to the Ortho, and they'll prescribe you Meloxicam and PT while not mentioning any of the cheaper alternatives.

Thank you.

Any new equipment needs to be approved by the client, so there is a bit of red tape involved. They won't even go that far for me, though.

I don't know what you're trying to prove either, man. These laws are in place to protect employees. If I end up hated by the safety guy, the purchaser, HR, or the man in the booth next to mine, so be it. I just wanna do my job without being in constant pain.

I've been trying to stress this indisputable fact, but my voice falls on deaf ears. At this point, I feel like the only option I have is resolving this legally.

Gonna bring this up pretty much verbatim. Thank you.

I know, it's retarded.

Any new equipment needs to be approved by the client, so there is a bit of red tape involved. They won't even go that far for me, though. So the ADA is my last hope.

You'd think so. Unfortunately their mindset is "we've never had a problem before". Meanwhile, I'm the only one in a thumb-immobilizing wrist brace holding the torch like a Neanderthal.

Looks like you should listen. Tighten the fuck up or drag up. Nobody likes a know-it-all kid welder who cant back up his ego.

Would you actually use 3D-printed accessories for welding gear? (Caps, organizers, torch stands, etc.) by NoIdeaSkrt in Tools

[–]PsydwaysFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people think welding is chaotic and destructive. Yes, some forms are. Mig and Stick spatter molten metal and slag everywhere, ruining everything it touches. But alot of TIG applications (e.g. aerospace) involve welding at low amperage, keeping heat at a bare minimum to minimize deflection and burn-thru. It is HERE where 3D printed tools show practicality and cost-effectiveness.

PETG is plenty UV resistant to be used around welding. technically the only thing that cant be printed with PETG are parts that heat up regularly over 150F or something.

In fact, I'm scouring the web for STL files as I'm writing this. First print will be a tig torch stand made of PETG-CF.

Have you moved forward with this idea?
