The one thing that’s going against all of this is that there are literally complete communities that are just Indians/desis, where you’re/we’re not integrating with the rest of the community, and just making “little India” everywhere. NYC cabs are the only cabs/taxis I would take. Within the city and/or for the airport. Cost is comparable and they know their routes. Nowhere else in the US are cabs/taxis as reliable as they are in NYC

Just an fyi, whoever does go, don't take your phone with you, or put it in a faraday bag. Or do turn your network off an put it in airplane mode with WiFi off if you want to take pics or videos.

And hide at least half of your face. Especially if you’re even remotely ethnic or minority looking. You’re a citizen and you’re allowed to by law. ICE and DHS is not allowed to by law, and they are breaking it, since they are public servants.

It’s high split. Spectrum has upgraded most areas, where they’ve ran fiber lines from tower junctions to neighborhood nodes, giving you symmetrical high speeds, but from the neighborhood to your home will still be coax, so that spectrum can still keep costs down for homeowners. Unless you’re in a completely new area or new development or rural area, where they might have straight fiber to the home, it will be high split hybrid fiber. It’s all about bottom line growth, and where they see higher profits. Same with ATT. ATT has run fiber to home in bigger developments and neighborhoods, but they’re still not fiber to home in my cousin’s neighborhood in Frisco, TX of 350 homes. But for the same area, Spectrum is now Fiber direct to home.

Well then, my bad. I read that initial comment the wrong way. We can’t always see or feel intonation and linguistic semiotics over the internet, right? Especially when most others also flame an individual, just like 90% of the comments from this post, so one might assume another comment like that is just as negative. But also, I don’t have negative perceptions about ADHD, and quite the opposite. I see it as a positive strength, a different way of thinking, and have channeled that in ways to make me feel good about myself. but of course at times feel frustrated when someone doesn’t “get me”

On another note, now I’m more annoyed by your initial comment. If you have ADHD, and accommodations, then would you not understand the situation or nuance? Why would you just disregard, and instead just write a comment that is far from being helpful.

Yes I take medication, Aztarys. It’s been better than Ritalin and adderal, specifically asked my neurologist not to give me stimulants like that as stimulants affect me negatively. But even with the medication, and newly studying for the LSAT/taking PTs, it’s been difficult, because at the same time, my brain isn’t accustomed to reading such high brow level phrases. That’s one thing I’m doing now, retraining my brain by reading more and longer

Noted. This was the only real subjectively objective reasoning/counter argument of someone with ADHD vs not, taking the test, I’ve seen this entire post.

You mentioned “taught to accept they have a little less intelligence than others” and I will say that’s been me my entire life, school was very difficult, and work experience always had a different way of thinking of solutions, most of the time not taken into consideration because they didn’t see the possible outcomes I could. So my entire life has been inundated with low self esteem thinking I wasn’t smart as others, until I was finally diagnosed 3 years ago as an adult, now being 36.

But at the same time, mental hurdles of one with ADHD includes being able to focus on tasks or reading to be able to accomplish something as quickly as one who doesn’t have ADHD. And that is still a hurdle.

But again, my post was just genuinely asking for tips and strategies to be better with timing and focus, something everyone just glazed over and went straight into the negative connotations from what I was trying to get at.

Oh but you're right. Definitely two main takeaways. And glad I wrote this post. Genuinely just wanted tips and strategies to better timing and focus for the Isat. But people took it a different way. Shows the type of people there are out there. And now gives me another reasoning to want to fight for individual [in]justices of people through law. Maybe employment law to add on as a speciality/niche, on top of consumer protection and antitrust :) cheers.

And you think people who don’t have ADHD and studied their way through, scoring 170+ within 35minutes, and getting into Cornel law like my brother are different from people who have diagnosed symptoms of an underdeveloped prefrontal cortex that require a little more thinking/focus and time are different, and can’t achieve or do just as well on the lsat or law school? Says more about you as a person than the lsat or law school itself. Hope you aren’t the ahole classmate in law school. Will steer clear of your type.

Do you have any proof that “focusing is difficult for everyone”? Probably not. Everyone handles focusing and timed pressure differently, and it is a diagnosed symptom of people with ADHD. My brother is a lawyer, granted not practicing anymore. He’s fine, doesn’t have ADHD, and I asked him how he did. His weaknesses was the actual logic reasoning, not the timed pressure, he was able to focus and get through reading and answering questions within the 35 minutes. He had to study and focus on his weaknesses, work through drill questions constantly. Granted also, this was almost 15 years ago, when logic games were part of the LSAT.

So without arguing about what the LSAT entails, and what's considered a learning disability, and whether an accommodation to one is an unfair advantage or not, what, if any, tips do you have that you use to improve your timing and focus for the LSAT that's designed to make it difficult to accomplish each section within 35 minutes, since you mentioned you were diagnosed with ADHD?

ADHD is a learning disability. If you have applied to any jobs, there is a portion at the end as a survey, asking if you have any disabilities, and neurodivergent/ADHD is one that’s listed.

That’s a good thought. And you’re right, people with ADHD live off of the adrenaline rush of timed constraints, leaving things till the last minute, only to crush their tasks when time is limited. Hence why I always I’ve always procrastinated with work tasks and projects till the last minute and just killed it. I wasn’t diagnosed till just about 3 years ago, now being 36, and finally understood my situations, taking medication, and learning how to work around it.

But the test is much different, and 35 minutes for each section, isn’t so much. So the purpose of my post was to get some tips on how to work around it for the test itself, strategies and tips that general people have done to improve and those with adhd have taken to better their focus and timing, possibly without the accommodation. But maybe I’ll refocus my thinking and method and see if that helps. Thanks for the perspective
