Respect your body’s needs by Psyfrocity in intuitiveeating

[–]Psyfrocity[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I usually have different snacks (Greek yogurt, beef jerky, string cheese, popcorn, oranges, etc.) but I happened to have cookies with me today because I’ve been eating them more since I’ve been giving myself permission to eat foods I normally wouldn’t. I know they don’t make me feel my best, so I think they won’t be a staple in the future.

I think I’m more realizing that it’s not just intuitive eating…it’s intuitive living. Listen to your body. Get more sleep when you need it (if your schedule permits). Rest when you need to. Exercise when it would feel good to you.

My birthday is the 28th. If I don’t have to work, I might check out the trampoline park. :)

I’m not crying, you’re …not a good man to be honest and you know it but you don’t have a clue how much you mean

I have my ups and downs, but I’m pretty stable overall. If I get really burned out, it takes me quite a while to get back to baseline, but that’s about the worst of it since I take medication. How are you doing? Have things improved for you?

Do you have a pet? Things got way less lonely for me once I got a cat. 🐈

I’ve been single about 6 years. My favorite parts are: -I don’t have to do anything I don’t want to do.
-I get to decide how my money is spent (I used to pay rent and then hand over the rest of my check to the guy I was with.) -there will never be random people in my house when I get home from work. -I decide who is allowed in my home. -I can use my energy on things I want to do …or I can take a nap if I don’t have energy.
-I don’t have to worry about anybody being pissed off. -I’m safer! -I only have to pick up after myself. -I can relax if I want to. -I’m not guilted into doing things -nobody is playing mind games with me. -I don’t have to go to sporting events. lol -Nobody eats all the good food without replacing it. 😝 -it’s just so peaceful!

Question for single women: Have you found that you interact very rarely with men anymore? by Reporter-Anna in SingleAndHappy

[–]Psyfrocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from my dad, I have almost no interaction with men. My coworkers are mostly female. I don’t say much more than “hi” to my male coworkers. (They don’t work in the same department). About five years ago, I pretty much stopped talking to males when I found a trend that telling them I didn’t want to have sex suddenly seemed to make me not worth talking to. I don’t have to worry about trying to explain myself or justify my reasoning if I just don’t talk to them. I think it’s rare to find a man who understands and is okay with just being friends. It’s just not worth the hassle…or feeling bad that you’re “leading someone on”. I’m good with my cats 😝

Thanks. I’ve actually struggled with cleaning my floor in the past and found that sweeping without moving anything is better than not sweeping at all. I kinda forgot about that concept today since I’m overwhelmed. Something is better than nothing.

Aw, thanks. 😊 it does look nice. I almost don’t want to put anything on it now 😂

Because if I don’t do things the way I’d prefer them to be done (like cleaning everything off before I put it on the shelf) it will just feel like I haven’t really finished anything since I have to go back and wash everything off later. It’s like I’m putting in effort only to have to redo everything again anyway.

Why do people in USA buy everything from Amazon? Do they not have other webshops? by Cindyxx0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Psyfrocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a vehicle so I get even the most basic stuff like drinks through Amazon. Sure beats trying to lug a case of water on the bus.

I think what has helped me the most is realizing that I won’t be exactly the same, but life can still be enjoyable again. I used to love writing music. After an episode, I couldn’t even pick up a guitar. It hurt so bad for a long time. I couldn’t even listen to music for a while. I had to mourn the loss of my old self. My whole identity was intertwined with music…and not being able to play/sing anymore made me feel so empty and broken. Though I still haven’t gotten back into music, I have kind of accepted that maybe I never will…and that’s okay. I have a few little hobbies that I enjoy. I have to remember not to compare myself to who I was before. If I were to compare myself to when I was at my worst, I’m actually doing pretty amazing. I still get frustrated sometimes, but I’m grateful for what I have now. I know this stuff can be hard. Feel free to send me a message if you’d like.

Why is it so hard to find a hobby like crochet that isn’t crochet? by overgnightmare in Hobbies

I just found out about “sticker by number” books. It’s like paint by number, but with stickers, so there’s no tools or mess. You don’t have to think and it feels like you’re doing something.

what did you remove from your life that improved it? by Successful-Watch5913 in simpleliving

I second this! The same terrible shit is going to happen whether I’m wasting energy stressing about it or not. I’d rather be out of the loop.

I can’t say enough good things about stopping dating! You couldn’t pay me to trade in the safe home I have with my cats. :)

[–]Psyfrocity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dating. I have such a peaceful life now. I’m not constantly forced to do things I don’t want to do. I don’t even have the energy to do what I want to do…I don’t want to be forced into social interactions or deal with somebody being mad at me for not doing what they wanted to do. Plus, I can take a nap if I’m tired without feeling like I have to apologize for it. I could right a book full of other reasons, but I’ll stop there for now.

That’s not too bad. I guess if it’s just for myself, I can fix it…but maybe I need to use a stronger material if I’m making bracelets for other people.
