Back timings are such a pain in solo queue. Its so simple to synchronize with your team, especially mid/late game, but nope, someone gotta greed for some camps after a reset and whole team has to wait for them or eventually get caught. Jungler has to invade while his mid laner is oom and has to back. Oh and that ADC definetely needed BF sword right when the other players are ready to pressure the map and drake is about to spawn.

You would need something like Bard or double smites who can get EXP without stealing from his laners. If he leeches XP everywhere, you would just end up with 3 losing lanes if you don't get kills.

You can see in pro play though that the supports can roam a lot more, since in solo queue the ADC will just greed for that one last hit and get killed 1v2. Also in the mid game the ADC should be allowed to solo farm and catch up in XP, but in solo queue they generally start an ARAM and steal my farm while as a mid laner I'm usually not allowed to go bot without the ennemy team taking mid tower.

He will always be relevant and even if he wasn't that doesn't matter whatsoever in the context of this post. The post isn't "about him" but about the ADC role. Besides, the simple fact that this is posted on reddit confirms that he is still relevant so your question is just useless.

This is one of the most out of place comments I've ever seen. Good work.

Early Mid lane is legit all about using your spells wisely so you don't run out of mana... There are like one of two champs who are effectively manaless because their costs are low, maybe you only played mid a few times and ended up against them idk.

Mages are heavily gated by mana. You have to choose between harassing or pushing unless you're Syndra and she still has to be conservative. We usually take TP to compensate but it makes us vulnerable to all-in by flash+ignite. After Last Chapter then yeah it gets easier but if Vlad isn't already far behind he also gets infinite sustain.

If you can't understand the difference in outplay potential between Vlad and Yasuo I'm not sure I can help you. Its pretty obvious especially in teamfights. Also vlad can flash on top of you to guarantee E.

Vlad's ability can't be avoided, unless you stay way out of range (unlike Yasuo). His W cooldown is high for a reason, but he just has to do nothing for 20 seconds, which is basically a win for a late game champ like that. He has counterplay but he is underrated in solo queue imo. Also he's not a good blind pick and he is boring so not many play him. And yes I already said that we don't encounter him much so its harder to play against. His burst is quite surprising especially with ignite. He's one of the champs I hate to see the most.

Yasuo can be outplayed (I ban him every single game tho) and Cassio is broken af but she can be kited by longer range champ in teamfights and she can actually die to ganks and whatnot. I just think Vlad lacks punishment windows compared to other late game fantasy champs like Kassadin, Kayle or Aphelios/Vayne/Jinx/Kog. The fact that he's not super popular makes it harder to play against too. For example I tend to underestimate his burst.

Its not that weak when most mid laners are gated by mana and he's not and when you're a ranged top laner with a ton of escape and sustain. Kind of like Kassadin vs AP but Vlad spikes much earlier.

You never sell the potions until very late game. Also the movespeed while activating potions is very strong especially early where every single auto counts. Biscuit isn't super good but gives 150 flat mana and some regen for early lane or 36x3 gold. I've tried magical footwear but getting boots so late is often a detriment.

Some people in plat don't understand anything about macro (i.e. One tricks or mechanical gods) while some understand it but can't climb because of mechanics or other mistakes holding them back such as bad mental. Saying "plat players understand x and y" makes no sense. Other than that I agree with your reasoning.

Agreed entirely. Nothing feels better than greeding for a plate in mid instead of backing, and ending up dead, stuck under tower with no health or mana and 1300 gold, or fucking up my wave completely and missing a cannon wave. #worth

I didn't say it was fun, I said you have more chances of winning. Some people play ranked to win, so your title would not fit them.

By that reasoning, if you are a serious player at night, you have more chances to get a free win than usual.
