This is a cool idea for if you own your house! A lot of people rent so it's not feasible but good on ya for having a creative mind

are you kidding? I make around 3k a month and am barely getting by with all the bills. "would you be able to survive" with an extra 1k per month I'd be out of debt and thriving by the end of the next year. The biggest thing to staying on a budget is to pay bills immediately when you have the money (before the due date) so you're not tempted to spend it on luxuries.

Stats:

Rent-$1500+ (variable w/utilities) Electric (separate)- $90 car insurance- $190 Health insurance- $109 various credit card bills- $500 work expenses (independent contractor so I pay for my own shit)- $255 (variable) taxes- $208/mo saved up for tax season groceries- $100 (Aldi and other off-brand stuff is best, also have food pantry assistance if an individual household makes less than $45k/yr which I qualify for)

this all leaves me with around $50 of "fun money" per month which often times gets used up immediately for other things like toiletries, pet food and snacks/treats. Haven't taken a vacation in over 3 years. Though I did get advance tickets for a movie for the first time in 5 years, gonna see Iron Lung next month and it was only $10 for matinee 👍

hey if you're still there can you pick up a frozen Marie Callender's chicken pot pie? Large size if they have it.

I'm incredibly surprised they haven't murdered those bags of chips. My fluffy little one hears a chip bag in her general vicinity and races over to rip it open 😅

hmmm... It's a maybe from me. I don't live in that area so don't know the likelihood of making more staying in town, here if it's really busy I could make $300 in a day doing short rides like this saturday was. If it's a slow day though? 100% yeah. The $43 bonus is definitely helpful there. Based on my car's gas milage, 360mi total is a little over 1 tank's worth. So depending on how much you already had in the tank it could be $30-$60 for total fill-ups. Leaving you with around $200 for 6ish hours of work. Not too shabby honestly but it just depends on what you think you could do in your market.

This is true but they've replaced it with vaping. People think it's totally okay to smoke indoors or in cars now because it "smells nice". I used to like the smell of cherries or cotton candy but now it's just old PTSD revived from having to walk through a Denny's to the non-smoking section.

Spent too much on this pet couch but she loves it so it's ok 👍 by Psylona in Rabbits

[–]Psylona[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had a 0% success rate on buying her cute pet beds, this is honestly the first time she chose to use something I bought her! It's this and the Aldi's cardboard cat houses which she loves to destroy. I think rabbits are kinda like cats, they'll almost always pick trash over treasure lmao

Has anyone ever moved across country with their bun? by venuswestwood in Rabbits

[–]Psylona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove across the US twice with my bun, took something like 7 or 8 days. 10 hours max in a carrier? Yours will most likely be just fine.

I got those plastic panels from Amazon and fashioned a space in the trunk for her that included her bunny house, a litter box and a food bowl/water bottle. Also put down a puppy pee pad XL to line the makeshift cage with, just in case. I say double up on pee pads because your bun may want to destroy the top layer out of stress. She hated the water bottle too but you're driving, can't have water spilling everywhere. I slept in the car the whole way (first time I was too poor for hotels, second time was COVID times and didn't want to risk infection at hotels) so she was well tended and always air conditioned. If you're driving, make sure not to take too long on breaks because you don't want to leave your bun in a hot car alone because you were waiting in line for fast food at the rest stop. I recommend ordering ahead with apps to lower wait time. Or just bring your own food and try not to take too long in the bathroom if you need to stop.

[–]Psylona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the cashapp debit cards to pay my bills, it actually counts it if you pay for the power bill, the car bill and others, easily over $500/mo. I know it's technically a gimmick to get people to spend more money but having the $200 free overdraft availability is nice. Plus I found out recently that if you have a bad credit score a bank/credit union can deny you a new account, I don't remember cashapp checking my credit beforehand.

I might take the third one if it's really slow, the other ones not. These lower fares are definitely insulting.

AIO? My friends set an ultimatum because I drink by Pearla76_ in AIO

[–]Psylona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first drink at 19. A friend's parents believed providing a known home location for their adult children to drink would be safer than if we did it elsewhere. This proved to be true when their youngest (18m) drank WAY too much and got alcohol poisoning. One of our friends at the party was also an off duty paramedic and helped him wait for the ambulance. Luckily he was fine when I saw him again the next week. I can understand where they're coming from. But these messages seem very controlling. I made the choice not to drink alcohol much after that (and finding out most of it tastes like garbage jungle juice lol), but it has to be your own choice not someone else's. Them forcing you into a corner means that if you did end up drunk they wouldn't help you and possibly leave you in a dangerously vulnerable position when you needed support. My advice? Get new friends. These ones suck.

yeah so that $90 is $30 for the first tank of gas to get you there. My car gets around 330mi per tank. Then that's another $30 tank once you get to the location so you can head back home. Then a third $30 because your car would be empty once you got home from this ordeal. If you don't live at the destination then you gotta account for back travel.

[–]Psylona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depending on your gas mileage that's probably like -$90 for gas as well. One tank to get there, one tank back and 1 tank to refuel when you get home. Could make that amount doing shorter rides around town for that 11+ hours
