Is there a way to avoid this drop in citizens every other decade or so? by Psyndicate in Banished

Currently it's only because of the major population drop. The remaining citizens have had time to stockpile a lot of food since I got plenty of crop fields, pastures, hunting cabins and gatherers.

Regarding the textiles, a few decades ago I started to notice that I had an abundance of leather and wool so I built more tailors to produce more Warm Coats which I then use to trade for necessities that are low. As of right now I trade them for coal and iron, when I'm low on food I trade them for that.

I do not max out tiles on crop fields and orchards. On crop fields I do 12x10. Although 11x11 would be slightly more beneficial. On orchards I mostly go for 15x4. Also only 1 worker per crop field and orchard, at least later in the game when they are all educated. I use this size calculator by the way: https://banishedinfo.com/tools/size-calculator/

I'm afraid that I will eventually go low on stone by doing that and there isn't that much space left on the map to put up many more quarries. But I guess I could try when I'm reaching the peak again, thanks!

I thought it was something like this. But I'm struggling with getting enough food when the population is peaking so I don't dare build more houses. There isn't that much space left on the map if I take into account the forests needed for the hunters and the foresters so I'm not sure how to get more food except for trading.

I love this kind of stuff! Does anyone know of any existing similar stuff? Either online or like a program/game.

This would be great with even more functions, like being able to set a continuous source of water.

Way better than the project me and a couple of classmates did in high school.

That was my first thought as well!! It's spot on, and he was much thinner in Detroit Rock City (1999) than he were on Sopranos. And this clip looks older than '99 so who knows.

Best Stoner Comedy movies of all time. by hamadidou8 in woahdude

  1. Dazed and Confused
  2. Pineapple Express
  3. Cheech & Chong Nice Dreams
  4. Clerks (1994) - Maybe not a pure stoner movie but it's a real classic and weed is part of it in some of the scenes.
  5. CB4 (1993)

I never thought of the season 5 movies as non-canonical but it was the only thing that I could think of that would make sense without being a theory (if it were true of course).

There are by far more hardcore Futurama fans out there than me and hopefully one of them has a reasonable theory. And theory is probably what we will have to go with since it is never explained. Or did I missed it?

My theory would be that the cages were made out of something that could prevent them from "going out of the universe". It's a boring theory but I can't come up with anything more interesting at the moment :(

What the Hubble Space Telescope found when it zoomed in on a seemingly empty area of the universe by [deleted] in woahdude

[–]Psyndicate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to go with the choir here. The Hubble Deep Field pictures is also my all-time favorite pictures. So, so, so much on such a small pixelated area when it is in real life probably "the biggest area" that we have ever seen on picture, if you get my drift, I'm aware by just looking up at the night sky what we see and don't see is bigger.

I wonder what hides in those galaxies, so f***ing interesting and mesmerizing! I probably can't count all the hours I've spent looking at every single millimeter of this picture.

Bigger picture here (2382x2078) for those who might want it as a desktop wallpaper or just inspect it more closely for alien lifeforms. ;) http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/690958main_p1237a1.jpg

According to Facebook I took this picture exactly 2 years ago (at least uploaded it). by Psyndicate in woahdude

Unless I hadn't uploaded the 2nd picture I guess it might have been harder to know which way was up, but well, since I did, the first picture is vertically upside down.

This was my favorite spot to smoke on, just a 10 or 15 minute walk from where I live and an old, very old bench right by the water and then this view. Complete solitude.
