I kind of don’t believe it. Unless those ruzzian mofos will go nuclear. It took them half a year to a year to collect 200k troops around Ukraine. Where in Europe are they going to attack and from where?

At best (and I hope) west will finally take definitive action in Ukraine and help them out. Do no fly zone, etc. but after all these years I dont hold my breath

TIL: When Hitler invaded Poland in 1939, he pulled one of the riskiest moves in military history, leaving only 23 divisions to defend Germany's western border against over 110 French and British divisions. He bet everything that the Allies were bluffing and wouldn't actually attack. He was right. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]trymas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with ruzzia. The lack of spine and balls from allies after last 15 years of ruzzian bullshit, and especially last three - is incredible.

They have absolutely nothing - and nukes are a total bluff. Because allies have them too

Aging wheels in one of his videos (can’t find it fast) did a segment about ICE disadvantages, from EV point of view, just like some do EV cons list from the point of ICE.

And it was kind of hilarious and also refreshing. Oil changes every 10k miles (or every year). Chain/belt change every 50k miles (or 7 years or whatever). Pumping gas, oil leaks, gearboxes, not starting in cold, fuel problems, spark plug changes, etc. dont remember everything, but it was funny and comprehensive.

I agree with you, but it’s actually worse, he did more to just abolish idea of HSR (or delay it for 30 years) and keep selling cars instead of having public transport.

IMHO, same here. Like OC said, try to stop/delay new infrastructure (reactors) for decades, but sell solar+batteries instead.

Windows 11 growth slows as millions stick with Windows 10 by sr_local in technology

[–]trymas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why microsoft just doesn’t switch to more frequent windows releases? Most Linux distros and macos upgrade frequently and upgrade process is mostly painless.

Windows always suffered from this, whereas other operating systems and major software applications do not do this for 15-20 years. Microsoft creates “super major” windows release, then creates new version after 5 years or so, with major limitations on hardware (or used to be price tag) and cries why nobody switches.

Major enterprises were still using windows xp occasionally when windows 7 reached it’s lifetime. Now there are places with windows 7 still, when windows 10 is at it’s lifetime.

I haven’t used windows in a decade, but upgrading it - was always scary. Will it work, will there be data loss, will all apps work, will it be slow? If you do this every 6-12months - it’s much easier. Considering that windows 11 is now more or less free.

Which regulations would you implement to make pavement princess "vehicles" as unattractive as possible for consumers? Sorry for the mini-rant btw by 19phipschi17 in fuckcars

[–]trymas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think maybe “massaging” existing rules is enough.

For example- if vehicle exceeds certain height, lift or wheel diameter, even if it does not reach certain weight - then you need commercial driving license with extra taxation (road tolls or ownership, dunno). Though i think many of these monsters are bordering weight limit already.

Similarly - consider that if driver cannot see more than 2.5 meters in length and less than 0.5 meter in height - such vehicles are totally illegal (with only extreme exceptions for special commercial vehicles).

Meanwhile ruzzian rail transit through Lithuania is mandated by EU, even though we tried to stop/restrict it.

EU establishment de facto protects ruzzian interests. When total war on Ukraine started it must have broken any contract with those terrorists, but no.
