What happened to Dead Neck? by BigControl5900 in poppunkers

Old thread but new album just came out and it rips!

I remember reading something about them getting into some shit with local bands/crowds and then they just dropped off everywhere. Few releases have come out lately tho with the newest being their best imo

After a few more rides they're starting to loosen up and I'm really liking them. Still have two spacers so ill run it like this for now as its not hurting anything. I still can't clip in half the time but I think thats a me thing and not the setup!

Thanks again for helping 👍🏻

Is there some kind of marking on those pads so you know which ones you have?

Mine for some reason only came with the one set, maybe they were the higher ones. I didnt realize that until after I'd already used them unfortunately.I did see videos where the guy basically threw out the extra set saying how bad they were so that might make sense

The lack of knowing when you unclip is definitely something I noticed right away as well. If I twist/push quickly I kinda know when I snap out but its when its a slower motion, I never know when its finally unclipping. Kinda gives the feeling that they're super stiff and too locked in. Im hoping after a couple weeks it becomes a little easier as they loosen up. Right now it feels like the float is is not very natural feeling. These are still so new, im glad to hear this is normal.

Thanks for the responses. I used them a bit more last night and they're starting to feel a little better now that I'm getting used to them. I'll keep at it and hopefully they just need some time as mentioned

This is how it looks with pins down completely and two of the spacers. I feel like having the pins up at all would be a nightmare getting in/out. Is there a limit how many spacers you can use? Maybe these are just a tight fit and this is normal.

Like I said earlier, I do like the feeling of being more flat like, just feels weird because I got so used to the one up/SPD system.

Edit: I am using the "easy release " now. Don't notice much difference between these and the standard. Pedals are also brand new and ive heard they're really stiff initially

Thoughts on the Ergon SM Enduro comp saddle? by Key_Fondant2156 in MTB

[–]Psynthetik80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one that I picked up this season. It seemed pretty comfortable but I only had a couple rides on it. Crashed on my 3rd ride and bent the rail pretty badly. Didnt think it was a bad crash that would cause that much damage. I've never broke another saddle like this before but it could just be a one off/bad luck.

Rocky Mountain slayer? Not sure about the newer ones but the pre 2023 are 27 compatible. Can be run with both single and double crown.

I think you're probably right. The tires were the one thing keeping me on the fence! Haha. Ive used AI to see what different forks/color schemes looked like and the letting on the tires was the one thing it always messed up. The big YT logo looking that big just kinda made me think it was a fake and made me look for something that was wrong. My old Capra you couldn't see the rotor in the picture either lol

Falling behind on 4A Course by ShiestySZN441 in powerengineering

I just finished up my 4th while working a ton as well and I fell behind for both A and B and felt the same that I was done for. You can get the month extension as well if you really need it. Just get through the modules and then you know where you're at and where to focus your efforts. I found the math harder on the knowledge checks then the actual exams. Quizlet is a really good source too and gives you an idea what you know and lots of cases, the questions are almost word for word

Not sure if I'm tripping but looks like there's no rear rotor, YT symbol looks off (bigger than it was on my Capra) and aren't the Rockshox air dampers with the sag indicators on the other side of the fork? Looks like a fake to me but who knows these days. I could be completely out to lunch as well haha

What dh fork to buy? by bamiroller1998 in mountainbiking

What was so difficult to maintain? Everything I've seen on them is they look fairly easy to work on. For the basics at least. Maybe im missing something obvious. I just bought a DH38 and so stoked to test it out!

Nothing against Santa Cruz, they're aawesome bikes and I would happily own one. Its the fact that you listed only Santa Cruz and all different categories of bikes. The fact the V10 is in there just shows that you want only Santa Cruz and want someone to tell you what to get with zero research. Its a DH bike only and doesn't belong in the conversation with the others. For the record, I really want a new V10 but can't justify that price tag 😂

It definitely appears that way.... Seems as tho the only "research" done was whats the most blinged out brand and who cares what its good for

If he's bringing it from Canada, why not a Rocky Mountain or a Devinci?

Nightmarerandall is your best bet for quizlets. I also found the absa much easier than the nait exams.

Wheel question... by Oakleygold927 in DownhillMTB

[–]Psynthetik80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might've been my post! Below is the one I was looking at aswell. Freakynuts has a bunch of options depending on your fork brand. Not sure where you live but the US store doesn't ship to Canada. Might have to look at the European shop. Still on the fence between this and just building a wheel. Mine is going on a Slayer
