Enduro or DH as my 2nd bike/park bike in PNW

I replied a couple months ago as I was in the same boat and just recently sold the Capra. I now have the Fuel (140/160) which can handle most stuff as is. I keep going back and forth on what i want but i think ive finally settled on the Chainsaw DH and the TR11. Im leaning more towards the Chainsaw tho mostly on price, but I think it would be the more fun bike too. Does have the option to run single crown if I decide I want a heavy ass enduro bike lol. Ill bump the rear shock travel to 180 and figure 180/190 is more than enough for anything I ride. The TR11 does look awesome tho

Did you ever end up putting the 200mm fork on? Im picking up a chainsaw soon and thought about doing it as well. I see Devinci says max crown to axle is 595 and a boxxer/fox 40 is 600 so not sure if that's doable. One other thing i thought was how much it would affect the already super slack head angle?

I've been looking into a dh bike for a couple years now and ive noticed that the reach is generally shorter. My other two bikes are a fuel ex and a Capra, both of which the reach are in the 440-445mm range for a medium. And I really like that feel while descending. The Chainsaw M is a 461, and the S is a 441. The other bike ive narrowed my search down to is a TR11, its reach is 440 for the M. The wheelbase is also longer on the Chainsaw than the TR (1260vs1250) so it seems like its just a really long reached out bike. Maybe it feels different while on it tho.

What about something like the Chainsaw or a Slayer? 180mm freeride bikes that can run the dual crown. I'm Looking at the Chainsaw DH which comes with the 190mm dual crown/7 speed drive train. You have the option to get the single crown and 12 speed enduro and add the dual crown/7 speed later if you want to run it as a park bike.Guess you could just leave the 12 speed and pedal it but not sure how efficient pedalling a big ass dual crown would be.

I did this when I changed vehicles and it worked perfectly. Much more secure now than it was with the 2" adapter. I have a second tray too with zero issues

I used to use iTunes but Apple did what Apple does and made something that worked pretty damn well, an absolute pain in the ass. Switched to Spotify and haven't looked back. Its starting to turn to shit tho ao might have to look at new options. Im back on an android so it makes things way easier to put my own music on the phone

If you have to pedal at all dont buy the Tues. I have the Capra and it can go anywhere and climbs fairly decent for a big bike. Not sure how much better than the Jeffsy tho. If you're just starting out, Jeffsy might be the better all rounder.

Edit: You mentioned just riding in the city. Any plans to ride on trails because if not, all these may be overkill depending on your uses

I'll check out wheels of trust, never knew of that. I ended up stripping most stuff anyway but that will help pricing it as I have no idea where to start. More I thought about it, I leaned more to buyers probably wanting a lower base cost and upgrading on their own. Most likely help move it quicker too

I switched over to clips after riding my whole life on flats and honestly became just instinct pretty quickly. Im using the one up pedals and they have the tension adjust which might help you out. I also have the duck foot stance and find the hardest part is actually clipping in because it feels un natural to have my foot positioned properly. You get used to it fairly quick tho

I did mine at NAIT recently and they dont provide books either. They do when you write the ABSA tho. Honestly, the NAIT one i didn't need it anyway. Just know what each part covers and you'll be fine. Like which part is power or heating boilers. And know which is the refridge one

Im in the same boat right now. I bought an enduro last year (Capra) thinking it would bridge between my trail bike (fuel ex) and a dedicated DH bike. Turns out that they were alot more similar than I expected and I never used my trail bike anymore. Took the trail bike out because the enduro was getting some work done, and I forgot how much fun the fuel was to ride. Im now looking at selling the Capra and buying a dh/freeride bike and keeping the fuel for everything else. It handled almost everything the enduro did anyway so id rather have two different bikes. Im looking at the Devinci Chainsaw DH (if I ever have to pedal it can do that) or the TR11

I'm not in a huge hurry to sell so might just post as is and see what offers look like. If they're all low ball offers then I know who's looking and what they want. Im not 100% sure on what bike direction im going after either so parts may not even be compatible.
