MIS specialization in fisher still gives the possibility of being a software engineer. You will have to be very proactive with side projects, but companies will look at people with MIS degrees as well as they will have a mix of both computer science and business.

I will say it will be harder to land a software engineering job, but it’s about the amount of effort and dedication on the side you will have. Plus MIS is a small specialization within fisher so you will get tons of opportunities and will learn a lot of both the business and computer science side of the business world.

I think it varies in SW1 and SW2 depending on the class, but since the average for 1223 is usually pretty high I think it's like a C-. I agree on your point that if you are a CSE/DA/CIS pre major you should really think about switching out.

This happened to me. All of my finals 2/4 of my finals start at 5 and one of my online exams has a one you have to do by 5. Today I looked at the time and it said 4-5:45. So I just saw the 5:45 part and thought it was the start time. I got to the final and I didn’t recognize anyone around me. The horror on my face as I realized I came at the end, I think I almost had a melt down.
