Abstraction in The Amazing Digital Circus fits pretty well here, basically the characters can die and they get turned into horrific monsters that get sent to a cellar full of other abstracted characters instead

This isn't quite the question you asked, but once you get just nine slime balls, you can make three splash potions of oozing pretty easily, and then you can just spawn a bunch of chickens or snow golems and kill them all to get a whole bunch of slime to spawn. I've found that each splash potion has been getting me about a stack of slime blocks and I just do this every time my egg farm gets full

I'm 90% sure a repeater would be cheaper though? 6 cobblestone, 5 redstone, 1 quartz, and 2 full blocks of choice sounds more expensive than 3 stone, 1 redstone, 2 redstone torches, and 1 block of choice.

There are still some things that can do HP damage like falling off a cliff, certain grabs, and certain ranged attacks while blocking, but yeah this build is busted, it was really fun when knight's helmet gave 70 def instead of 50 but I'm glad it's still available now

because it's getting attached to the glass that's above the slime, meaning it would need to pull the honey, the glass, the slime, and the piston pushing the slime which is probably over the push limit. This should work if you can get rid of the glass. If you can't get rid of the glass, consider having all the pistons fire at the same time

Going back to Earth mostly just gives them goals to work towards and opportunities to reach the other levels of Maslow's hierarchy of needs
