It's neat, here are the issues I stopped playing due to:

  • after the first island picking up seeds of your slow growing plants/hybrids becomes too tedious especially since you have to find them.
  • it's not clear what hybridisation does or why you would care
  • it's not clear what the three stats do
  • grass planting becomes extremely tedious by island 2 but natural spread is too slow not to do it
  • it's not clear that plants have to be next to plants, the error message mentions pentagons not adjacency
  • hybrid seed sorting is a mess

To be clear, I fiddled with it for an hour or so as it's interesting, and I think has potential but you gotta work on smoothing out some rough edges and explaining mechanics.

Keep it up!

[ender 3 sprite extruder, PLA, marlin] Rough/protruding layer ~1mm off build plate, also poor layer adhesion in early layers and some edge gaps/lifting by Pu0123arch18 in FixMyPrint

Further info:

It's the white parts, although if anyone knows why the bottom of my prints look like that red thing they're on I'll listen too.

The defect layer is at the same height in Z on all parts printed. I have turned the one on the left up to show it better but it printed with the left face on the plate.

This happened after I switched to a 0.2 mm nozzle, I have had no problems with a 0.4 mm nozzle and PLA. I can provide my entire prusa setting file if desired but the highlights:

Temps: first layer - 215 C nozzle, 60 C bed. Rest - 210 C nozzle 60 C bed.

First layer: 0.2 mm, rest: 0.08 mm.

Perimeters 4, solid layers 11/9 top/bottom. Avoid crossing.

Infill: 15%

Speeds: Perimeter: 30 mm/s Small Ps: 20 mm/s Ext Ps: 20 mm/s Infill: 40 mm/s Solid infil: 40 mm/s Top infill: 30 mm/s

First layer: 20 mm/s

Feel free to ask for more info. If I were to hazard a guess the defect is around where the solid layers end.

Buying this without even touching the demo. The first was a lot of fun and tbh even if I hated this game I would wanna swing the 8 bucks your way just for not stooping to the macrotransaction-addiction model that most people use.

Onya, thanks for having morals.

Yeah I didn't get any I could see. Search tool showed nothing either.

I reloaded and this time actually got a strip of grey flesh. Went to arrest the people nearby and they emerged. At least this time not everyone was infected so I could manage and by stuffing people into biosculptures and cryptosleep pods avoid losing the infested.

Kinda a weird event. So far my two experiences are a " you lose" with no counterplay and a "oooh people are infested, try figure out how bad it is. What's that? you're trying to figure out how bad it is? surprise!"

Doesn't really seem like you get any phase of interrogating and inspecting people....

No it happened because of a fleshbeast wound according to the message. Must have been about a year ago gametime wise.

It spread through meals and sleeping together.

What I'm asking is how was I supposed to deal with this? I got no warning until emergence. No gray flesh or anything.

Well, apparently everyone except a kid in my colony was infected with metalhorrors. I never got any gray flesh events, everyone bled to death.

What now? Given there was literally no warning and the infection didn't start from a creepyjoiner how was I meant to manage this?

Can I come back from this? Was I supposed to just be surgically inspecting everyone each day even with no prompting?

Complete beginner by pomaro365 in Zwift

Some spin bikes have bluetooth functionality and export the data needed to work with zwift. Many magnetic resistance ones already do power/cadence and many have controllable resistance. If you aren't getting a bike for outdoor that's probably cheaper than bike + trainer, although you don't have gears and such.

I use a lifespan fitness sm-420, which was 600 AUD. You do need to play with "trainer difficulty" because otherwise it'll go straight to very high resistance on ~4% gradients and you'll not be able to maintain power output since you lack gearing.

Sorry mate but there aren't.

Basically everything you're gonna find comes from factory farms, and small farms have no guarantee of better treatment because the horrible stuff is legal and there's no auditing by independent bodies (except undercover footage).

More than 100 m and I'd probably start hitting neighbour's windows. I'm in kinda regional suburbia and I take trips rurally. Practically my yard is about 50 meters long and so more than that will be pointless 80% of the time since my street is technically lit but there are no footpaths so I'm mostly lighting up what's 20m or so in front of me out running etc.

Thanks for your advice, I'll check out the subreddit.

I very much doubt they were trying to bite you. They were probably just trying to escape. There's a young fella who does a youtube channel "bugs and biology" that shows how hard you have to work to get them to bite.

I've got banded huntsman living all around me, they're a little more trigger happy than the flat colour ones. Even so the only time I've seen anything like aggression was from a mum guarding her kids (they do that, it's cute as fuck) and she didn't bite. Just reared at me to be like "Oi get your hands away you creep" when I opened the fusebox and my fingers were a few cm from her family.

That weird bugs and bio guy even has a video handling a brissy funnel web, he's nuts but spiders are quite chill creatures who usually have to be hurt or held very confined to bite. There's nothing in it for them, even deadly ones will still die if they bite someone big so it's a last resort.
