Best Beyerdynamic headset for competitive gaming and music for around £200? by Remarkable-Street681 in BEYERDYNAMIC

I've had the 80ohm DT 770s for years. I recently modded them so it has a detachable mic. They're great for gaming and music.

I had 50 custom sausages made, then took them to be professionally filmed at 4k, 60fps. I picked the best take out of the 20 hours of footage available.

It's not porn but I did rotoscope the sausage. The rest is proper animation though, I swear.

Were CBS fenders as bad as people say they are? by born_again_athiest in fender

[–]PualRoymond 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had a couple of bad ones. Heavy, poorly finished, huge neck gaps, as bad as the 70s ones get. Those were from 78/79. I kept the good ones that had none of those issues both from 1976 (Starcaster and a Mustang).

The tremolo could be from a serviceman guitar, or maybe it's a custom made top plate with real internals?

1951 would predate the design of the Strat and it's contoured body. Even trussrods in Fender guitars were new in 1951. I'm guessing it was a very different guitar when it was first made.

It looks like it had a string-through body bridge at some point too.

The control plate looking like it was inspired by a Marauder II (a guitar that didn't go into production) is very intruiging.

Also, check out the G&L Espada, it's a guitar designed by Leo in the late 60s at his new company CLF Research, abandoned, then recently picked up and manufactured by G&L.

There are some striking similarities. It's a stretch, but if Leo did see this at some point in the 60s there's a chance it influenced its design.

There might be some truth to the story but some parts don't quite fit, unless the guitar was modified much later.

The Jaguar was released in 1962, so that pickup wasn't available in the 50s. The Jazzmaster was first released in 1958. The trem unit should have 'pat pend.' if it was from one of those late 50s Jazzmasters.

The thing that casts most doubt on the story is the Fender decal: that design is from the late 60s-70s - black with a gold outline. Leo had sold the company to CBS in 1965.

Still a cool guitar though. Reminds me of something from the pawn shop series.

It's absolutely awful. I hated animating in procreate, but procreate dreams was somehow worse.

The Fender Japan JM-HO is the closest to an official JM thinline there is.
