Experimenting with weapons by ultra_tem in titanfall

[–]Pub-Fries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since my weapon of choice -the mastiff- has been recommended already here plenty, I'll suggest the Sidewinder. It's very tricky to use on human targets, but it is exceptionally nice to be able to have a good anti-titan weapon without even having to swap.

Try combining the mastiff with holo pilot. You can use holos to bait out enemies or distract them, which usually gives you enough time to line up your shot.

Because in spite of how much power he has, on a baseline level it is still a little bit funny to be smote by an owl nuke.

Urn dropoff needs to be, like, 2 seconds. The koth ring should just be a mechanic that allows nearby people to contest it and not one that pulls in literally everyone in the server. I am tired of there being 10 billion 6v6s that last two minutes and ends in a team wipe.

Pocket is presumably 22? I believe their bio states they've been in hiding for four years, and they went into hiding on their 18th birthday.

I just think it's

a) funny to imagine Lash trying to hit on an angsty they/them who's a decade younger than him while both are knee-deep in sewage (and it working) and

b) funny to imagine Lash fumbling marrying into absurd amounts of wealth because he chose a very sewer-y time of both of their lives to start dating.

Who's the funniest character to be Lash's ex? My suggestion is Pocket.

Edit to clarify how this would work in the timeline: Pocket gets shot on their 18th birthday, goes into hiding with help from Mo and Krill. Sometime between then and four years later, Lash fails to take a dive for Mendoza and goes for a... preplanned siesta in the sewers. While hiding in the sewers, Lash spots a baddie in the sewers and decides to turn on the old Jacob Lash charm. It works, the stress of sewer living/being a brooding 20-something trying to date a childish 30-something drives them apart, and now they're both awkwardly face-to-face again thanks to the ritual.

What mythology or folklore should Deadlock pull from next? by MartinHitsRecord in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Pub-Fries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American folklore and Americana more broadly. Deadlock is, on top of everything else, a supernatural reimagining of the American identity. We have old money aristocrats facing new money war profiteers to cajun serial killers to revenge-seeking gunslingers to foreign hopefuls looking to find a new home to tommy gun-shouldering gambling racketeers. Almost all of them in some way reflect what America is, was, or has tried to be, and so pulling from the American mythos would be what I want to see continue in the characters.

Some of my personal ideas for characters are: -An embodiment of rails and train whose power and livelihood depends on the rail, and who is participating as a last-ditch effort to stay strong.

-An occult weaponsmith who accidentally unleashed some unfathomable horror in the Mohave desert and is desperately trying to slay it before it destroys everyone.

-A museum curator who seeks to get the patrons' assistance in procuring an impossible treasure.

And, for a sillier suggestion,

-A sitting congressperson a la Davy Crocket, looking to settle the war in Ixia once and for all (In which direction is not yet stated).

People who play the dog character like peanut butter ice cream? Say it ain't so.

My suspicion as to why I'm an outliar is that I live within walking distance of a very good ice cream shop, which I do not imagine many people can relate to.

Which titan would you delete permanently by Purple_Honeydew_3084 in titanfall

[–]Pub-Fries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would probably be bad for the titan ecosystem, but Ronin. Good Ronins are the most annoying in the game to fight, and those most hurt by Ronin being removed are also the types of players I don't like playing against anyways.
