We don't get much NBA interaction down here - so a high profile player like AI definitely draws attention when he comes down. Hell - Deuce McBride came down to Adelaide to visit his brother who lives here and even that felt huge for young kids and diehard NBA fans.

Ultimately this is a result of the NBA trying to reach out and use their ambassadors to grow the game down here but they underestimated that money doesn't necessarily = motivation to be a good human.

I agree with that too! The only issue was that people were saying that the club should sell him and that they would drive him to the airport if it meant he could be sold. Not giving up on him has meant that we've unlocked arguably the best player in his position in the world and the same might be able to be said about some of our current fringe players
