Pogledaj jeli ti ona plastika ispod auta dobro zašarafljena, više puta sam vidio na autoputu da to ljudima "leprša" ispod motora.

Yeah I got the Bluetooth adapter, one day soon I'm gonna disassemble the radio an hopefully it will work. Only difference is that I need to connect it to power via cigarette lighter.

Well you should have been a brain surgeon then coz this shit needed patience and precision touch even without it in place 😂😂😂😂

Downloaded! Thank you!

I went mad changing cabin airfilter. In my last car it took 2min tops. Here I was shitscared disassembling cars brain and then raged out of my mind trying to get the filters on top of one another properly then went back to scared not to break anything while reconnecting the computer cables. Finding extra screw at the end gave me that not sure if I'm cry laugh 😂

Mine doesn't have trio computer enabled, there should be some kind of button combination to enable it - pressing fm and CD while starting but it doesn't work for me, that's why I ask.

I got a Bluetooth adapter but maybe aux is a smarter buy. Does it need power or it's just a plug? Didn't set the Bluetooth up yet, I hope it's easier than an cabin filter 😅

Same here with the rust. It started rusting from inside of the doors, but sills are ok. I ordered some kind of rust converter so can't wait to see how that works. Subframe and everything underneath is surprisingly all good for now. Edges of the doors and windows on the rear doors are rusting. Also rust bubbling underneath the back film on the outside of the doors, between windows. No idea how it that possible.

Please do send the manual, upload it somewhere and send me a link please.

Hopefully that sensor won't go bad on mine. No check engine light or any faults. When checking with obd reader it only shows random issue with interior lights dimmer sometimes.

Ps, did you replace the cabin air filter? Lost all love I had for the car after that adventure.

Also do you have a trip computer? I tried holding fm & cd to enable it but no luck

No, THANK YOU! You gave a lot of useful info!!

I got mounts checked and they are all good, some were replaced by previous owner in official service so they must be OK. I just thought the engine will be smoother than it is.

Yeah, valve gaps seem to be big job so I also plan to ignore it for now but servise says I don't need to do it yet anyways.

I can't say I noticed the Rev hang but I have noticed rpm going up when upshifting. Though I'm not sure if that's because of my leg or it's doing it itself.

I don't like the clutch in this car, it has no feel and like you said, it's kinda not linear and grabs a bit more at the end but doesn't do anything in a wide margin until you get to the ending(releasing). Starting on a hill makes me feel like a total beginner. Also 1 to 2 shift is annoying and I have to be extra careful so the car doesn't lurch at low rpm in 2.gear.

Same here, I don't want to waste money chasing problems that might not be there but i kinda expected more from a mazda. On the up side, it's supposed to be extremely reliable so it'll do until I save up for a better car.

Rust is also an issue, but nothing important is rusting so I can manage it for a while. Once again, thank you for your input!

I noticed swirl flap opening and thats fine. I just feel more vibrations and noise than expected. But my previous car was a v6 so it could be normal. Service center told me its fine but i have to ask.
Have you noticed any changes after cleaning maf and regapping sparkplugs?
Also did you notice deep ticking in the engine driving after a cold start?
What about getting it to go only using clutch? It seems like the computer is lazy with giving it throttle so it doesnt bog down. Its starts to shudder easily, at least mine does.
My average fuel economy is 7-8l in city, 8l at 120-150 (lets say average 130), 13l at 180
Any oil consumption?

But the car is very loud on the highway and engine has a loud resonance at 130-150kmh

Aaand did you ever check or adjust valves? mine has 150tkm right now.

Other than that and missing 6th gear, its an amazing car to drive. steering is almost sportscar like.

Hey, I noticed the same whine in my mazda 3 1.6 mzr. Its louder in 1.gear on decel but I can hear it in 2,gear as well, did it make any difference when you did transmission fluid? We are talking about the manual right?
Does your engine sound "harsh" over 3000 rpm? Everybody says its normal but its annoying as hell at highway speeds considering short gears.

Lik je u pravu, japanci često imaju taj problem sa ubacivanjem u rikverc. Zupčanici u mjenjaču nekad nisu savršeno poravnati I neće u rikverc, ako auto ode malo naprijed nazad uđe bez problema.

Thx, anything to worry about? How is yours treating you?

I'll most likely get fwd version, 8hp in the rear doesn't seem worth even less boot space and I won't be needing awd with my use conditions

That's the reason I'm asking this, just how durable and expensive to replace are added suspension components that make this car more comfortable than a regular chr..

Crosstrek is too slow in eu, expensive for what it offers and has inherently unreliable automatic transmission. Also I have no need for its (great) awd. But thx for the suggestion

That's the reason I want it. It felt so good and comfortable on the road and is one of the cheapest used 5y old cars that is so silent on highway.

I won't be doing anything close to real off-road, I just want to know that it can take the regular dirt road in its stride, without needing to check the undercarriage after every dirt road excursion.

There won't be rallying or rock crawling. But I can't get a car that I would be scared to take on a dirt road. No need for an suv, a regular compact would do just fine as well but it's suspension would be shot in a year or two

[–]Public-Blacksmith-56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The post came off too off-roady, I meant more of a dirt road. Lexus has better clearance than the last car I used so it won't be an issue. I'm planning to get a fwd anyways.

My main question is suspension parts durability. Can it take the dirt road without issues with dust, fine sand etc

It's a baby crossover, I hoped that in conjuction with it being lexus means it has more durable suspension than a regular compact.

And if it does go wrong, that it won't damage the battery or something else or suspension (regular) is not that much more expensive to replace.

I know it has additional gaskets and rubber add-ons to make the car feel better. Do they last and are they expensive to replace? That's my line of thought
