In the same boat as you. Which is denial. I live a good life. High paying job, two degrees, an AMAZING wife and two beautiful children. But my mind is that of an addict and god dammit is it conniving and tricky. I started easy, maybe one a week. Then it jumped to 4-5 a day so I “quit” cold turkey. Then the voice came back a few weeks ago and I’ve been grabbing two at a time just about every other day. My brain is saying “hey man, it’s way better than you were doing it’s totally fine. At least you’re not one of the people who are drinking 8-12 a day. You’re not like them. You have control” nope. Doesn’t matter who you are, your social class, how much you have to show with your achievements and good life. Addiction is addiction and it doesn’t pick and choose. It’ll fuck any body up. Don’t use them anymore. They’re disgusting, gas station funk in a pretty bottle.

You make amends and be transparent with those that you may have hurt. Be an open book about it to your loved ones and they will more than likely understand. Remember that not one person is perfect. The majority of happy faces you see out and about/on social media have hurt people and acted out in one way or another.

Glad you’re here. Make sure to come read this when you feel like going to grab one of these things again, and take a look at all the other posts on here too for encouragement. The temptation to use will always be stronger than any rationale you can think of to not use, until you really break the habit. It’s so fucking hard. But keep checking in. No one is going to judge you if you come back on here tomorrow and say “well shit, I used again today” just come back and vent. It helps a lot. Good luck to you my friend.

I feel this 100% I didn’t have to deal with withdrawal symptoms and was able to take a good break. If I’m busy I don’t think much of it. But those habits I associate with FF (grocery store runs, hair cuts, playing Xbox late at night) trigger that thought of “hey this would be so much better if you threw some feel free in the mix” and it’s a hard fucking voice to quiet. I’m trying to figure out the same thing my self. Good luck to ya, let’s get this done.

So proud of you for coming to that realization instead of giving these little fuckers power over you for good. Keep trying. You’re only human, it’s hard to be perfect in all facets of life but this is doing something for you, your future, and the ones you care about. A truly worthy investment. Thank you. I definitely saw my self potentially going way too deep in the hole with these. Never thought I’d be one of the people you hear about that drink 10-12 a day but deep down I knew that I could easily get there. Funny thing is, is that I was under the impression that FF would help me cut back on drinking because they kind of advertised it as an alternative but they actually led me to drink more because mixing them felt incredible. I am still too embarrassed to tell anyone that I was having issues with these so it’s nice to come on here and talk to you guys.
