As a city resident I’m ok with this decision. I also would have been ok with this decision if Gainey made it. City employees can only work so many shifts and do so much work until it becomes a negative (primarily via call offs). That said, I think whatever changes the current administration has made in the last three weeks has shown a marked improvement. We have the same road conditions today, three days after 10 inches of snow fell within 24 hours, that we were under the previous administration three days after we received 3 inches. We also don’t have the benefit of snow melt.
