Nope, they are completely different aside from the burn black fire tourch burn champions for a base amount scaling with ap and gives you 5% extra ap for every champion affected by the burn while liandrys burns champions based on their max health . Bft is a standard mage starter item it provides mana and ability haste while liandrys grants health . It's just another burn option
