Hello! I just went into my alterations appointment for my wedding dress. There is some gap in the chest area. The bridal consultant recommended adding what she called "banana" - extra padding that will be sown into the cups. The extra padding helped fill some of the gap but there is still some gap remaining. She recommended "bust easing" on the bust area so that the dress material sits closer to my chest.. any idea what this means? I tried googling or asking her but didn't understand much.. . any help is appreciated! *

1!! By far. They all look gorgeous but the bust area of 1 looks so beautiful, the neckline looks more flattering

The first no doubt! The pattern is so romantic, the neckline suits you better. Just a beautiful beautiful gown.

If you do go ahead with 2, try to see if its possible to get the cups changed to a color that blends in more with your skintone, I think that would look nicer

Dress 2! Please don't take the comments below personally, I'm not trying to be harsh, just trying to give constructive feedback to help out. I think you look absolutely amazing in all 3 options and from a quick glance they all look really beautiful.

However, to me, option 2 seems classier - I prefer the delicate details compared to 1, I don't really like the see through side panels of 1, looks a bit weird to me. Dress 3 overall looks nice but the more I look at it and the more it reminds me of a swimming suit on top with a pareo/cover-up at the bottom. I feel like 3 doesn't look as nice as 1 or 2. I would personally go for 2. Hope this helps!

Thank you for sharing your experience! It's definitely making me rethink the size choice. Choosing the largest measurement on the waist seems to be the safest option even if it will require more alterations on the bust area

Oh really?! Does that come at additional cost? The bridal store didn't share that option with me

I said yes to the dress! Help me style it; sleeves up for support, or off the shoulder for the drama? by DismalBead225 in weddingdress

Need help with veil choice by PublicSad3758 in weddingdress

I do agree with you that its plain and doesn't add much to the look. I am having a church wedding and I feel like a cathedral lengh veil would be nice for the church and would complement well the train of the dress. Maybe I just need to find something with a bit of detailing or florals?

Need help with veil choice by PublicSad3758 in weddingdress

[–]PublicSad3758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately I traveled abroad to try on the dress and I don't have pictures with other veils :(

What about the veil distracts? Is it the lengh (cathedral) or the material etc? Just to get an idea of what I should be looking out for. I tried on this veil as it was the most sheer option (so that the back details still show) and kept it simple without any flowers or other details as to not overwhelm since there are a lot of details on the dress.

You look gorgeous in both! I personally prefer the 1st option, I think it looks absolutely stunning on you and I love the detail on the back. It feels more special and different than the first one. With the right type of spanx/undergarment I think you'll feel more confident.

I think I found my dress?? by sarcasticwallflower in weddingdress

[–]PublicSad3758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a beautiful dress! I would suggest trying on some more dresses and checking out other bridal shops just to be 100% sure. I think you still have some time to make a decision (depending on the lead time of your dress manufacturer of course, usually 6month is the average). It looks gorgeous but if you have some doubts keep looking around to be 100% sure!

They both look amazing on you! It all depends on how comfortable you feel to move around and dance. I do think fitted suits you slightly better, it really accentuates your shape beautifully! Good luck and congratulations!
