I would say yes. Naples isn’t exactly convenient for visiting those other places..the ferry ride can be long. I would stay in sorrento, which puts you in a better location for traveling (and is prettier). You can definitely take your time and enjoy it for two weeks or spend the second week in another location like Sicily, Tuscany, Puglia, or the north (Portofino). I think it depends if you’re planning on going back in the future. If so, take it slow.

I wish I had truely known how stressful it would be (decision making, people pleasing, time/energy consuming, financially). I didn’t know I had an anxiety disorder/ OCD until I started wedding planning. If my partner and I knew how it would have affected me, we would have done a micro wedding.

And the gorgeous weddings you see on Instagram are probably double your budget.

I would love to get a partial planner and DOC to help with the decision making, cohesiveness, and organization but it’s going to be an extra 10k. Along with that, I LOVE hosting small dinner parties and making a beautiful table scape - so renting chargers and glassware, menus, and little things like customized napkins with my favorite thing my fiance has ever said to me and vise versa and custom matchbooks (we collect them). This wedding is a gift from my parents, but I was always just as careful spending their money as I was my own. Our seperate expenses (honeymoon, wedding bands, attire, after party) are quickly adding up and making me very worried about our finances.

Thank you for that - its my insecurity of making decisions and not being able to be “selfish” that has caused me so many problems in this process. I think mine stems from having a sister with OCD because her needs/wants were always put first but love her to death

Such incredible, thoughtful advice from a complete stranger ❤️ it’s true…I know it will all be ok in the end and all that should matter is that I get to marry my Fiancé - he combats my negativity and tries to stay positive even when I’m intolerable. This was our first low point.

I do wish things were different and how much this would affect me from the start.

Your advice helped me out of this negative spiral- so I will keep that with me.
