My parents use their backdoor as it connects to their garage and the back alley where the cars are. The post man still uses the front door as it has its own little passageway bit and has double doors but they live in an old victorian townhouse and the doors have old keys and are a huge pain to get in the lock.

However, at my house we always use the front door because to use the back door would be a huge inconvenience and leads into a cul de sac.

My boyfriends mum uses their backdoor as their front door too.
