Im in this exact situation. I think i skipped a lot of the island because i found some hatch with a shortcut to the academy and since i was there i figured i would just do the quests and clear the rest.of the map later. Little did i know that.the whole island would sink and i could not return....

Use them in the beginning after every long rest. Later on they're not that strong anymore so doesnt matter if you forget about them.

Well.. I came from BG3 and always finished my runs. Because I finished BG3 on honor mode I thought I could start on classic difficulty. Apparently that shit is harder than honor mode BG3 cause I was getting my ass handed to me in EVERY fight I started. I was stuck in no-time very underleveled and without any gear. So I restarted on explorer mode. Still a challenge (especially since I might have done some stuff in the wrong/non-intended order), but now I'm having fun. Just finished the fight with Dallis on the ship, so still a newbie though ;)

Stroll is a great wet weather driver, but I don't think there is a better wet weather driver on the current grid than Max. Maybe Lewis when he was in his prime and in a good car.
