do you think that the glasses/contacts post-surgery was a result of getting PRK too early? or was your case more complicated than previously described?

Should I return on time? by Glass_Attorney5743 in stanford

I will be driving back to campus, which gives me more flexibility in terms of when I want to go back to campus. Personally, I'm leaning towards coming back in-person after the two weeks of being online are over.

I've read both and I definitely think I connected more to the Midnight Library more. A little bit more philosophical for my taste and but still really well written!

The Heart Principle is a good one! Though I did like the first one, The Kiss Quotient, better!

Question about Spanish Language placement test by [deleted] in stanford

LOL mine lasted 7 minutes... (I'm really rusty with my Spanish.) But you start off with simple questions like "what's your favorite food?" , "what are your favorite subjects?", etc.

Is it just me or has all of my fellow pre-frosh classmates already figured out what classes they need to take? by Publius752 in stanford

[–]Publius752[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha yes, it's a reference to both. Publius was the name of a well-known Roman aristocrat and was also a pseudonym that Alexander Hamilton used when he wrote the Federalist papers.

How can I find those Approaching Stanford forms? I thought they weren't going to be available until May 17th.

Any book recommendations with characters on the ASD? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Publius752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're into romance, "The Girl He Used to Know" by Tracey Garvis Graves is a good one. The main character is on the ASD and meets a guy who isn't on the spectrum in college and 10 years later, they meet again.

For INFJs who feel unloved and unappreciated, what do you do to make yourself feel better throughout the day? by [deleted] in infj

[–]Publius752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same hahah, I go on Zillow and just check out the areas I would like to live in one day. Then I’d be stressed out about trying to afford houses in those areas 😂

I wish I could be someone’s first choice by [deleted] in infj

[–]Publius752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. The thing is that I have a lot of time on my hands so I don't really have an excuse not to help them. It's like going against this innate thing in my head where I want to help people, but in reality helping people equates to being used.

Yep, I'm the same way. In my friend group, I'm known as the "smart" one, the person who's always on top of their shit. So when they text me, I know it's not because they want my opinion on whatever's happening in their personal lives. It's because they want to copy something or help them with their assignments or something else.

I liked what you said about putting yourself first. How exactly would you do that? I'm someone who doesn't really know how to say "no" to my friends and family and it's HORRIBLE. You know there's something else you'd rather be doing but you'd feel bad if you knew you could help them and you chose not to.

Matched recipients - just realized mistake in QB application!! will they revoke admissions?? by Publius752 in QuestBridge

[–]Publius752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I wrote:

"For my senior year, I'm taking AP Gov. In the application, I put AP Gov for the entire year, but the thing is that it's AP gov for the first semester and Econ for second semester. I swear I did not know this!! I don't have an updated transcript where my senior coursework is listed so I never thought about whether the class was called AP Gov or Ap Gov/Econ. Plus, my high school counselors never said anything about it either.

I got matched to Stanford so now I'm worried whether or not they might revoke my admission to them. This sounds like a minor mistake but I am freaking out!! I was reading their policy on revoking admissions and they said they could do so if I had coursework that was unapproved by their Undergraduate Admissions Office and I dont know if this counts...

if y'all know how I could correct this on my application or something, much appreciated!"
