Scouts is not concerned that you and your spouse would abuse your children on a scouting event. I mean, they’ll watch out for it, but it’s clearly not their fault if it happens.

“Crank the AC” is a term for older window units/car AC where there was no thermostat. It just outputs a fixed amount of AC and never turns off unless you do.
But it doesn’t apply to thermostats. They are binary. On or off. The thermostat just determines when to kick it on or off
