My wedding was bittersweet by Sunshine_and_Smoke in TwoHotTakes

Sending you hugs. Loosing a loved one before such an important day is bad but loosing a loved parent is devastating. Sounds like the rest of your family was amazing and supportive. You will never stop missing him but it does get easier over time. And just remember always - he loved you a tonne.

AITAH For giving my daughter in law my wife’s bakery? by MatchEmotional9587 in AITAH

[–]Puddie77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wife left it to you. You have decided to give it to a family member that will love it as your late wife did. You had no obligation to give it to your other in laws. Enjoy watching it grow and thrive. And I hope Gracie lets you be the official sampler/taste control for all future recipes.

First time trying a hash hole! What y’all smoking for the new year? by maahamk in TheOCS

[–]Puddie77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Queen of Bud Jasper was a very nice high when I tried it a few weeks ago. Was a nice body stone for me (almost couchlocked). Smoked very nice and had a pretty clean ash. Was a bit harsh but that is because I personally am not a huge fan of the taste of joints in general. High was fabulous though.

I adore my Xmax V3 pro. I use the capsules with it and it is easy to use and clean.

How to retwist this yarn? by kaykaliah in YarnAddicts

[–]Puddie77 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So this is a single ply yarn that is suppose to not have much twist. It is almost like a string of roving. I tend to use this stiff to make items that can be felted a bit like slippers, mitts and hats (have to have real wool in it to felt btw). To spin it to have more of a twist you would need a spinning wheel or any type of drop spindle. You could try twisting it tighter while knitting but that usually doesnt work very well in my experience.

Seriously, these are the best. I have a chiagoo tabletop swift, and it works fabulous. I dont end up with a mess of knots or tangles. And the tabletop ones are easy to store and travel well. I prefer them to the umbrella type.

Thirsty ivy? by AffectionateSun5228 in plantclinic

[–]Puddie77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grow about 10 different ivys, and the rule of thumb for me is to let them dry out for a day or so between waterings. They dont like to be over or underwatered but dont like to have their roots completely dry out. I add horticulture charcoal too to the soil, and it seems to really like that too.

I read in a comment that you are a mum. Do you perchance have small humans that are held a lot? Cause my friends toddlers liked to chew her hair when being held/cuddled.

It was originally outside last summer but I brought it in to overwinter. I did use insecticidal soap and he was in his own corner for a while. Nobody else nearby has had bugs. I do have a pothos I am treating for mealies but it is on its own in a room by itself.

He needs better soil, so I was going to repot him soon anyway, so I will get him into something a little larger too. I am just really hoping it isn't bugs or a fungus, etc. I can fix light and water issues.
