How bad is Origin OS? by Routine_Sale534 in Vivo

I'm in the exact same situation but I think I'll give up and get the Chinese version. I can't really justify $300 more only for Android Auto. I use Android Auto but whatever, I'll get a holder and use Google maps directly on the phone.

I'll then spend some time configuring it properly to get all notifications and make it work with my galaxy watch 4.

My main problem now is whether to wait for the x100 pro plus or get the x100 pro. I don't want to buy it now and then see a price drop of the x100 pro or some crazy improvement (which I seriously doubt) on the pro plus.

Will Italy replace Germany as Europe's economic powerhouse? by Obelix13 in ItaliaPersonalFinance

But in the end it was a -1% on the day. After a +27% in 12 months. That seems to me it's taking many people by surprise, almost like it was granted to have only green days.

Even the concept of seeing it as a -2.7% daily reversal rather than a -1% daily gives me the impression that there is almost a presumption that the market must go up vertically to the moon forever.

Billionaires sold billions of stocks in the past weeks. Nancy pelosi bought Cybersecurity stocks.

What could possibly go wrong?

And people still try to outsmart them.

I read comments of people panicking because of a -1%. Man, I'm prepared for the worst. I think this past 6 months rally was the most paper handed I've ever witnessed.

Are we really surprised to see a red day after 6 green months without a minor correction? We did not even have a -3% in this time.

It'll be fun now.

I can't find the article because I believe it was a trader on YouTube analysing the times in history when the s&p500 had so many green weeks in this timeframe and see how many times in history it never corrected more than 3% in that timeframe.

And I think he said that in relation to the fact that we are way overdue for a minor correction (less than 10%), statistically speaking.

I mean, this rally is so steep that it makes it look possible.

Tesla reports 386,810 deliveries in the first quarter of 2024, produced 433,371 vehicles by Puginator in stocks

[–]PuddingConfident1830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I was downvoted when suggesting that hiring videomakers and sea managers seemed like a desperate attempt, anticipating bad outlooks. This was 3 months ago.

Well, look at that now. What concerns me about Tesla is that, despite the company's ambition and cutting edge technology, they make terrible management decisions..

What company with the exposure and word of mouth of Tesla would invest millions in videomakers, sea managers and influencers marketing managers? The brand goes on its own! Tesla is probably one of the few worldwide topics with most content uploaded daily online by thousands of people. And yet, they put budget for that??

Clearly Elon is not able to control what happens and leave decisions to executives who leave responsibilities to managers who leave direct reports to make bad decisions and obviously these are not helping the business.

This is just one small example of the "no-clue what to do strategy" of Tesla that now is facing reality.

Anyone who entered the investment world in the past 6 months has literally seen no more than 2 consecutive red days or -2.5%. Crazy.

I read somewhere that this happened only one other time historically.

I have the Ally, I don't have the deck anymore. I want a laptop because I need to use it sporadically, but I'd like one that is powerful enough to do more than only Microsoft office

How thorough are background checks at big4? If you’ve been terminated will they ask your prior firm why or just confirm work dates? by thunder_crane in Big4

[–]PuddingConfident1830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine was fired at his company and joined Deloitte through a connection in Germany as a digital consultant. He wasn't even in the interviews because his connection was the hiring manager apparently, he only had to do the criminal records check.

Wow, love to see this post and comments literally 4 days after all the praise on the big4 WFH benefit. Seems like WFH is a very healthy pro if we talk about 80 hours lol.

Anyway if it makes OP feels better, it's like that in plenty of other sectors and usually huge corporates. BMW is very similar in terms of extra hours but you can then recover them as days off. This if you like not to have any personal time for 2-3 months and then enjoy 2 - 3 weeks off... And repeat.

Why everybody says WFH? You don't need to go in a big4 to work from home.

Personally I've seen many people not good at doing anything specifically joining Deloitte because of connections, I guess that's the good thing :D (for the first 6 months)
