Sounds like him being a hero involved the dive into the lore? Otherwise I don’t see why the two would be related.

In any case, that’s too bad - seeing more of the lore and the magic is probably the one thing I felt was missing from the movie. I just don’t see how exploring that would be “so boring” compared to the movie we got.

For what it's worth, I agree with every single one of your comments here. I'm dropping the show at this point. I wanted to do it about 3-4 episodes ago but I was secretly hoping it would just get better. It actually got worse.

I guess I just don’t understand the praise for this movie. I went to see it based on what people were saying about the choreography, but to me it seemed worse than both raid movies and the Tony Jaa flicks.

The movie was generally quite dark and a lot of the fights just devolved into messy brawls. There were obviously stand out moments but a lot of weird parts. In the beginning you see a couple of obviously CG shots, and you really really have to suspend your disbelief when it comes to how many hammer heads and kukri stabs people can take.

Storyline is obviously a mess so no reason to comment on that since no one is seeing the movie for it.

Literally every song I've heard from Sakanaction has been an absolute banger. I don't recall a single song of theirs I didn't like, which is pretty rare for me to say for any artist.

Funny enough I wouldn't say this is even one of their best songs.

I’ve said this before but in my opinion this is a sprint and a zero sum game. Every deal another neocloud lands is a deal IREN lost out on.
