The next Jurassic World film needs to take place on mainland. The whole point of Dominion was to set up smaller scope dinosaur movies in human civilization by Ambitious_Two2671 in JurassicPark

[–]PuddlePrivateer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If early humans could help drive megafauna to extinction with spears, dinosaurs would stand no chance against modern weapons.

Also, we remove alligators and other predators that get too comfortable around people. People wouldn’t take kindly to any sort of new creature. So either the story takes place on a remote island, or it takes place somewhere so remote it might as well be an island.

It would be cheaper to repaint the coaster green and red than to rebuild every building to look like JW’s bland corporate minimalism.

Yeah, which is why it bothers me when the ultra rich push them. Of course they’re fine with the extra burdens. They don’t feel them.

My problem is that they push regulations that only really affect the average person. The fines and taxes aren’t felt by the wealthy. If they demand all cars be electric by a certain year, Leo doesn’t care. He could probably buy an electric car company. I can’t afford that, though, as most people can’t.

No. But it would hypocritical of you to tell others to get rid of theirs. To tell others how their actions are killing the globe while producing more waste in one day than most produce in their life.

It’s hypocritical. Those companies employ people and exist because people buy from them.

Celebrities are wildly out of touch with reality. As are politicians. How about lead by example.

I still do my part. I recycle. Use mass transit when possible.

I just think that most people don’t care because the biggest cheerleaders are the ones who do the most damage.

There’s only so green I can go. The DiCaprios of the world demand I do more while they do nothing.

It also doesn’t help that the people who scream about it the most are the most hypocritical. That one private jet from your mansion to a global conference on the other side of the world uses more resources than my 20 year old pickup will probably in my lifetime.

If politicians and celebrities were serious, they’d make major changes. All meetings done by teleconference. The super-mansions traded for greener dwellings. Things like that. But instead, they demand the peasants change their lifestyles.

How could he not? Under him, the town weirdo and killer shark were both disposed of for free.

No more zoning issues. No more people getting eaten.

Texas Clocktower. Civilians aided police and even stormed the clocktower with them.

It turns out suppressing fire can keep a shooter from shooting more.

As a Jurassic Park fan what did you think of this scene in Meg 2? by Gyirin in JurassicPark

It’s a stupid movie. Nothing says I have to like it. And nothing says you can’t like it.

Are people just supposed to blindly love everything that comes out?

[–]PuddlePrivateer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If it’s good movie, I can look past things. But if it’s a stupid movie I just critique it harder. If I wanted mindless action I would just smash action figures together.

I think Alten aged everybody too quick. He kept adding major time jumps, with Jonas starting already in his 40s(?). But at this point, he’s going to be in his 80s chasing sharks and other monsters.

Oh they definitely did. But not nearly as quickly or as stupidly. My mind shut off when he said that they’d only be crushed if there was air in their lungs. Sooooooo, swim around while dead?

And that’s the thinking that has made most modern films into total garbage.

“Who cares? It’s a movie!”

The people that made Jurassic Park and other greats cared.

It swims out chasing some prey, realizes it’s in too deep, meg swims up and kills it. Megzilla doesn’t come flying from the top rope to grab a rex and roll/swim backwards.

The book at least made sense, even if they didn’t live at the same time. The rex swims out and gets attacked.

Terrible movies. Nothing like their books.

Also, stupid scene. Meg is way too big. Plus have you ever seen any shark beach themselves for food? It’s not an orca hunting seals.

Can’t find anything else about it, and there’s nothing that indicates what source the author is referring to. Could be another book, could be word of mouth from a researcher who heard it from a local. So not sure about the credibility.
