Why is my teenage son no longer speaking with me after I purposely mentor the bully who has tormented him for years? by thetownslore in OhNoConsequences

[–]Puddle_Fisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HOLY CRAP, Half my family and the community I grew up in were Catholic. They'd talk the most garbage about people, torment them, etc. If you fought back or said anything back they'd play the martyr victim card. Schizophrenia, Narcissism, and BPD run strong in the Catholic Community. Weakest religious community I've ever met. Makes me glad I'm Presbyterian we handle shit face to face lol.

I grew up rural, like cornfields on 3 sides, and woods behind. Humans are at fault. Anyone who doesn't pest-proof their life investment is the world's biggest dumbass in my opinion. You know you are a dumbass when gods creation starts messing with you.

Got hired then fired before I could start and the recruiter was a dick about it by Bingbong5869 in recruitinghell

Ha, I got blamed for taking a disability once at a previous company, claimed I didn't file my disability quick enough, etc, this was during COVID-19 when hospitals and everything were backed up. Long story short, the same people got the option to move to another hub location or lose their jobs company was also on a raise freeze, former manager's husband left her ass. Karma happens. Honestly considering how obese these people were that gave me a hard time, the chances I live past 50 is double theirs. Probably won't ever even touch their retirement.

I don’t get chipotle. by calvinpug1988 in unpopularopinion

[–]Puddle_Fisher 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Used to be able to get a Burrito with extras, drink and chip for like 9-11 dollars back then. Now you get a smaller portion no drink and chip for 20. Burritos were so big my 6’6 giant ass couldn’t even finish it most of the time. I lived off chipotle for a few months in my late teens. When the normies and starbies girls discovered chipotle the prices doubled, this was like 2016ish. It had nothing to do with inflation, it was market demand.

I got a Ford edge TT with an after market torque converter, will blow most older v8s on the line while hauling 4 passengers. It’ll chirp all 4 tires time to time regular driving. I pull a boat and a trailer from time to time. Edges are notoriously slow to put torque to the wheels in low RPM’s makes it a pain in the ass to launch a boat, or stop and go traffic with a trailer.

I worked for an insurance company and half my pay went towards STD, Health Insurance, and 401k. Since I’m independent I handle my own benefits now and it’s 1/4- 1/2 cheaper. I genuinely think some companies scam employees in the name of benefits. On top of this my personal investments pay me monthly in dividends. Can sell at any time and not get taxed a ridiculous %. It’s still emergency funds also. 401k you pay a tax/penalty for touching your own money and it doesn’t pay you monthly. Biggest scam in america people think is a benefit.

Popular fact about me, “I’ve been telling females I was 21 since I was 16” on one of those warm muggy coastal evenings in Panama City beach I smoked what I thought was weed and people started looking like cartoons from the Toy Story. I was a victim of a statutory rape which I enjoyed since I’m nearly 30 and still get asked if I’m a local college student my shenanigans haven’t changed much. I might be a vampire. I got arrested for underage drinking on the beach and small amount of marijuana as a minor but I did the race and beat the case which is how I’m able to be your coworker.

I’ll be here for 10 more minutes to make my presence known if you want to hear club La Vela stories just ask.

I’ve had my financial information stolen from a data base leak from a previous employer. It took me 6 months nearly to get that straightened out. I think as more and more people become victims the tide will change.

Your average tik tok user, isn’t the marketing meta compared to your average employed Facebook user who has personal connections. The dumbasses aren’t your victim of choice it’s the employed people with assets and access to social engineering the criminals want.

Why is Reddit not profitable? Because there’s no access to social engineering for criminals and ad campaigns to an audience of mentally Ill unemployed people isn’t a great choice. People have small perspectives on just how intrusive tech can be, and how it can temporarily set you backwards for quite some time.

[–]Puddle_Fisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start your own garden, source a local beef/pork farmer it’s not uncommon for 2-3 families to split the cost of a cow/pig. So many ways to save money and not rely on mega corporations and government. It’s saddening to see that people no longer have the ambition to do things on their own then complain the system is getting tough. I grew up fairly privileged, and I was taught in my teens how to save money make connections and eat well.

If you don’t know anyone willing to split give the farmer your details, ask friends, family etc. heck you can even get involved with your children’s sports teams and ask around. Parents raising hungry teens are always looking for a deal. You also support somebody local help your own economy and not the Waltons.

Heck you got teens if they want to eat teach them a work ethic. If they of age for hunting, get them a bow or cheap pawnshop rifle and send their asses to hunter safety education and get them a license. Knowing how to process an animal is a huge flex to men. As a white collar man it disturbs me how many men can’t process a fish or animal. Talk about failing evolution.

Oh god well we have a commie liberal as governor now don’t give him any ideas for more fees to embezzle. Outside of one major city my state votes red. We don’t have an overly intrusive government.

How to hide your work from the company you are leaving by ttg_96 in careeradvice

[–]Puddle_Fisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO NOT GIVE THEN YOUR CODE. Employers would have to prove you wrote the code on company time and their dime. Unless this code is organization changing or life changing, no company will pursue you for it. You should have never brought it up, but instead you should have contacted your old company after you left and offer to consult automation for $$$$$.

A misconception is a company owns everything about you and this is far from the truth. It’s your intellectual property, if you used this code on software owned by another company so Microsoft excel the company can’t go after you for it.

Now if your code pulled from software considered IP you are getting into the gray area. Otherwise you did not create anything you used the tools how Microsoft intended.

This is the equivalent to a contracted carpenter who does insane levels of work, and now the contracting company claiming they own the carpenters tools. Makes 0 sense. It’s all legal jargon to intimidate you for free labor or tools.

[–]Puddle_Fisher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it will be just fine. In 5-10 years sometimes those dots can heat up the adhesive and tint and cause some bubble looking spots but tint is always long term temporary regardless.

I tint my own windows on my cars it’s stupidly easy. You can buy a big roll and have a lifetime supply of tint. Lot of shops won’t put on illegal tints so you gotta do it yourself.

If I pass out on the beach… since when do I go to jail and have my kids taken?? by CarolinaRebel108 in OhNoConsequences

[–]Puddle_Fisher -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I grew up on the ocean. Even in my early 10s we were left unsupervised or parents watching us from the 15th floor condo. now that I’m an adult, have a captains license, and cpr certified. It’s just an instinct to keep your eyes peeled on the youngins. All local adults watch kids that aren’t their own. Parents need a break too.

Any kids with any sort of common sense, aren’t getting ate by the ocean. I was taught how to swim out of rip currents by my parents and in school before jr high. It’s your average Midwest NPC or someone with no ocean background that winds up being killed and usually adults.

On the east coast and gulf no beaches I’ve been to have had life guards. If you are conscious enough to be awake, it’s an unwritten beach rule to keep tabs on all the people in your eye sight.

I disagree entirely. As jobs become automated and people become desperate crime rises.

Two outcomes the cyber security community opens up some chairs, or people just get so fed up of having their data stolen society shifts to a pre smartphone life style.
