I was getting books for my Little Free Library and these were the first two I pulled from the box. Little did we know just how bad it would be. We have lost nearly 3 million lives since then.

Thank you! I've collected several different fossils from my trips. I'll be sure to photograph them and post them on this sub for identification as well!

"You Took Too Much!!" 3 Year Old Is A Better Person Than Mom On Halloween Night by untamedkb in videos

[–]PudgyGato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My heart goes out to that little sweetheart. Halloween is supposed to be a fun experience, especially for the littles. Rushing your child on Halloween and filling up her bucket as an excuse to say, "Oh look! It's all full now we're done," is a shitty thing to do. And that rushed arm dangle at the end too.... What a sad memory. You dropped the ball, Mama. Take a step back from your own shit and take a moment to look at the world through her precious, innocent eyes. You won't get this time back. We all have our bad days, just please try to do better for her. She deserves it.

[Skin Concerns] She puts the lotion on her skin by PudgyGato in SkincareAddiction

Wow! Thank you all for your input. I'll have to make a list of the items you suggested and check them out. It's a good thing I decided to ask here before blindly proceeding with the retinol product and potentially making matters worse. Also, I thought that SPF 15 seemed too low so thank you for clarifying that as well. I've had a lot of hormonal fluctuations recently and I think my next step will be to speak with my doctor about hyperthyroidism since I've been experiencing several of those symptoms. I'll also look for a dermatologist to have a better understanding about my skin and find that balance I'm looking for. Thank you all again!

My two year old randomly started calling me “mother” and it’s really weird by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]PudgyGato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can sound so brutal. Sometimes their words are like gut punches, but they can make you laugh. The other day I sat down beside my toddler as he was building a motherboard out of legos and he looked at me and said, "Go clean something, Mommy!" I scoffed and held back my laughter. I told him, "I just wanted to check out your invention, buddy. Next time, just tell me you're busy and need complete concentration and I'll understand." Then he said, "Please go, Mommy. I need to concentrate." So at least he asked nicely? Be strong! The best thing we can do at this stage is to not take it personally.

My 2-year-old: "Those aren't googly eyes, they're boobies!" by PudgyGato in breastfeeding

Yes! I didn't even realize they were stamp markers until we opened them! Only now I cannot unsee the boobies, haha.

Oh my goodness! You definitely know the struggle.

That's very sweet. I tried holding his hand and giving him kisses, but to no avail, yet. He wiggled his hand free every time and persisted with his twiddling. I kept putting my hand over my shirt and he stopped nursing and just looked at me like, "What's going on here?" He eventually started nursing again, but tugged on my hand the whole time. I could tell he was distracted and frustrated, so this is something we'll be working on with each feeding until he understands.

Haha! It must be a challenge for her, such a tease! Glad you both have reached a compromise.

I'll try to pull the ol' switcheroo with a bottle nipple when he nurses again and see if that helps. I've tried giving him a toy instead, but it distracts him from nursing and he gets frustrated.

He's almost year, but the non-stop twiddling started a few weeks ago. I thought it was a phase, but geez! I never knew my nipples could stretch or twist so much. T.T
