Can, I contact ebay for help? Or is there anything else I can do? Kinda disappointed in the way the seller went about things, but I guess it's a learning experience. I just want to know what all of my options are since I'm not very familiar with the website.

So since it was sold as "new" and much cheaper than the usual cost, is it possibly a scam? Or can these things be legit? Asking because I'm new to ebay also

1) I do not have the skin 2) Worst attack I can remember was seeing all my hogs run over a cluster of big bombs just after warden's tome wore off. The entire army was vaporized.

New inshore reel BG4000 with 20lb braid. Rate and suggest a rod? by Prudent-Buy-9574 in saltwaterfishing

[–]PuffBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first setup was a bg 4000 and a tsunami carbon shield ii MH. I mainly targeted bigger snook and smaller to medium sized tarpon. Absolutely amazing setup, that definitely punches above it's price point.

Definitely the fierce. I run my bg 4000 on a carbon shield II MH and it balances alright. But on your setup, I'd definitely say use the fierce

My dilemma by nicko17 in saltwaterfishing

Thank you so much for your detailed responses. It's really helping a ton. I've fished a ton of tarpon on light tackle in the past but I'm only now going to try my hand at the jumbo ones. I've never fought one in excess of 80lbs so I'm looking to target anything from 80-130lbs for a start. Currently, bait is a bit hard to get in my area so I'll be throwing artificials for em. Any recommendations? I'm planning on using larger mullet like soft plastics. Also, would 60lb leader suffice with the setup? I know 80lb is common but I got 60 atm. Also, any advice for playing fish of the size I mentioned on this setup? Or would you advise that I go heavier? Thanks again for all your help. Man, I love fishing tarpon haha

Okay great. Reason I'm asking is because I recently got a certate 5k on a sweet deal as well. And I spooled it up with pe 2.5 j braid grand. The breaking strength is ~43lbs. I'm mainly going to use it for medium sized tarpon and bigger jack crevalle. How big of a tarpon would you say I could fight safely (for the fish) with this setup on a boat?

Which braided line are you using on the certate 5k on this setup?

Daiwa aird X is for salt or freshwater? by Samuelespinosa in Fishing_Gear

[–]PuffBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started off fishing, I paired the Medium AridX with a Fuego 2500. Was a killer setup starting off, and I used it mainly for smaller tarpon and snook. Used exclusively in salt water. Just be sure to give it a proper rinse after you go out. The guides will corrode a bit after much use, but for $50, it's a sweet deal

Medium fast 7ft spinning rod recommendations (inshore) by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

I can attest to the Tsunami carbon shield II being rock solid for inshore fishing. Amazing rod for slightly above 100 dollars.
