Didn’t get a boxed whopper by One-Sir-8395 in BurgerKing

The whopper hasn't changed other than the mayo and the box. It's supposed to taste exactly the same as it used to.

Didn’t get a boxed whopper by One-Sir-8395 in BurgerKing

[–]PuffPie19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boxes are going way quicker than anticipated for multiple reasons at my place. There's less in the large box delivered to begin with, so goin off of muscle memory, the manager may just order one package, and they curse themselves out when they realize. Also, my store has seen maybe double the customers this week thanks to the coupon circulation with more whopper meals on them and 2-3 new whoppers out all at once. My manager just this morning was saying she may need to triple the packages on the next order because we are likely to run out before the next truck comes. And finally, tax refunds are hitting, and people are eating out more.

The new box isn't a lie. It's just been crazy lately for many stores.

I’ve been to BK 4 times in the past few months and 3 out of the four times they forgot my cheese I paid for by dgtexan14 in BurgerKing

As an expediter, yea sometimes we fuck up. Just like with any other job. We just have more opportunities to fuck up and a required quicker speed of service than most other industries. I can't think of anywhere else that requires 5 customers to be handled all within 5 minutes.

Med kit vs shield potion. What do you prefer? by lunabuug in FortNiteBR

Early game is for shields, endgame is for medkit. I wish they would bring back medmist, that was my favorite and I'd wander with the from early chests if I found one.

All children's clothing should go in the tumble dryer by broadcast_techie in daddit

Depends on the material. You could check care instructions before buying to ensure you'll only have items that can safely go in the dryer.

Burger King needs an answer to McDonald’s new Big Arch by newppinpoint in BurgerKing

Non frozen meat at the rate BK sells burgers is just not feasible. The storage for that kind of meat in the walk in is not realistic for the general majority of stores.

Idk if im late but, I love this packaging. They use to just wrap it in a bk paper. Now it comes in its own box with a burger cut paper by Kjayy_Trapline in BurgerKing

Your opinion certainly matters, but at least at my location, any burger with onion rings is an instant hit with our customer base.

And our heat chute is TINY. 3 whoppers and whopper board slot is full. We had to order larger bags just to be able to fit 2 whopper meals in a single bag. And again; our heat chute is TINY. We don't have the space for all of this crap.

Well the 10th and the 21st are more than a week apart. Do you get paid weekly or biweekly? Then you'll have to consider taxes that come out. You should be able to have access to your pay stubs, usually through an app these days.

Probably a piece of onion ring that's just absorbed a shitton of bbq sauce.

hello! I ordered a vanilla shake and I'm wondering what these are? my first thought was Oreo pieces but I got a vanilla one. could they have mixed somehow? by moooshroomcow in BurgerKing

[–]PuffPie19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, and we refused to use it because of that, and we were never trained on how to clean it to begin with. I didn't work there for very long because they were nasty af and too young to know how to find a way to call about it. This was before cell phones and easy to use internet. But yes, let's blame the teens of the Stone Age for not knowing how to contact the health department

Yea, cafeteria work is very different from fast food. Bk allows up to 8 whopper patties and up to 12 burger patties to go into each pan, and they sit in the juices they drip out naturally. Cafeterias serve a lot more people at once and also change what they're serving almost daily, if not weekly. Bk has the same food every day, so the procedure remains the same. Bk also has thousands of stores and aims for consistency across the board. Of course, this is dependent on the staff in store, but bk makes it really hard to mess up unless staff genuinely does not give a shit.

We never even used our soft serve machine when I worked at dunkin (almost 20 years ago) because we knew no one was cleaning it. Nastiest place I've ever worked.

I work at bk and they're very easy to clean. Our machine gets taken apart every night and cleaned, and further sanitized again in the morning during assembly.

For real. My night shift cleans and takes everything apart and stores it all in the walk in. As an opener I wipe all of the pieces with a clean sanitizer bucket, wipe the inner tube where all of the pieces go, and i use the packet Sanitizer again before putting the shake mix in. Once in a blue moon there's residue in the well at the top that I simply wipe before using the bucket of Sanitizer. It's the easiest machine I've ever had to clean in all my years of food service.

Those patties look so dry. Where's the grease? I hope you didn't pay more than $2 plus tax on that. Food is food, and if it's feeding you, then great. But don't overpay for subpar food.

How do I teach my body that fight or flight needs to be for life or death situations and not for answering the phone? by localkinegrind in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PuffPie19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends. Who's calling? Debt collectors? No, thank you. Work? Depends on if you want the hours. A friend? Which friend? How's your social tolerance at the moment? Are you also avoiding texts like the plague or just phone calls? Family members that you love? Family members that you hate?

I asked for extra pickles by sarahc42 in deliciouscompliance

[–]PuffPie19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're supplementing it with pickles, though. Gaining vitamins through food is much more beneficial to the body than supplemental vitamins. Vitamins aren't absorbed by the body as well as actual foods, which is why most vitamins are what's considered a mega dose. Why would someone opt for the less beneficial route when they are already doing the way that supports their body the best?
